Your dogs coveting the toy reminded me of Olive and Mabel and their contest for the orange bone. Maybe you've seen this video, I think it's a hoot!

Congratulations on 2 decades of sobriety!
Congratulations on 20 years! And also for only 40 pounds to go without "dieting"!

167.something. Up a bit again. Calories were right around 1,000 the last 2 days which is good because I wasn't getting close to that last week! I think I will wait until Sunday to take my injection.
Yesterday's meeting with my Stephen's Ministry receiver went well. Our plan is to meet weekly. Today I spent 2 hours harvesting on our church garden and now I'm doing laundry! Dinner tonight is FFY (fend for yourself) as DH doesn't get home until 6ish and we need to leave by 6:10 to get to bible study. We have some leftover rotisserie chicken from Costco and mashed potatoes and gravy that I made the other day that I think I will dig into.
Nothing else new or exciting to report!
Greetings all
Sorry to have been AWOL. Just a busy time by my fairly low standards of business. Sunday we went to friends for a Labor day party. It was nice except we had to toast the friends who are no longer with us. Kind of sad. I made cheese crisps and brought a watermelon which turned out to be exceptionally sweet. Tuesday was also very busy as I had scrabble, had to get and deliver payroll and then take new art to the gallery. This is several trips up and down the freeway which is ok because it runs along the ocean, bay and forests. Still time consuming. DH brought home an enchilada casserole from costco. Not very good. It might go into the trash after one more meal.
DH birthday is Friday. I am going to get a small lemon cake from a good local bakery rather than attempt it myself. I had planned to take him on a little picnic at our favorite rock finding beach but we will see. I am helping can tomatoes that day and he also has a doctor appointment plus lunch with friends so there are timing issues. As always.
Lordy my gallery stuff was almost sold out yesterday when I took new stuff. Nice but I feel pressured. Oh well.
CC good on you for talking about the tri g meds to friend. Really no reason to keep this stuff secret even though it was kind of rude for her to ask. Too much about weight is secretive which I think leads to more overeating. Anyway sounds like you are doing great. Energy needed to clean up dog toy animal mutilations! And yeah lots of people have sleep apnea including my very skinny brother. Go figure. I think Apple watches and other health watches do some of that monitoring. When our friends were visiting they kept announcing their sleep scores each day. Hmmm
Peps congrats on all the hard work on vehicles. Almost done! And ditto on 20 years. Good on you.
DD also congrats on a good first day. Maybe it's as simple at starting on right foot. Or more likely, good planning and approach on your part.
Hey I am 20 plus years retired and I still have dreams about work and not being able to do everything on time or whatever. And I still have dreams about being in college and not knowing where my classes are etc.
I agree Liz, all the landscapes lose meaning over time. People pictures are what count. Beach nap! What a good idea.
We watched the last half of USC LSU football game and I thought of CC's dad. It was a killer good game. This Saturday will be Nebraska/Colorado which is a major rivalry. CC want to make a wager? I may have studio buddy over for ham and beans.
Studio time this afternoon. Glazing needed.
The daughter of my very best (now deceased) friend contacted me about making a container for the remaining ashes. Though my hands are kind of too crappy for this now, I do have some previous large jars to offer. Must measure for volume but I think it will work. I am thrilled to ship off one of these items and pleased that she wants one. Double win.
Not much else. Diane S
