I finally slept last night! Amazing how much better one feels mentally and physically after sleeping well. This morning feels like fall - very crisp and clear.
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours sorting through the first box of pictures I brought here. Amazing how few are worth keeping years later. We did make it to the beach eventually but it was fairly cool so did not wear bathing suits and just went late in the day to read. We had a great piece of swordfish cooked on the grill for dinner.
I received an email from the claims person on my rodent chewed car - they are looking at it on Thursday, so that means I will have lost a minimum of another 1.5 weeks use of my car. The mileage sure is not going to show much change this year!
I'm not sure what we will do today. We are still at DH's place and will return to mine either late tomorrow or early Thursday. We might go to Chatham as I need to order DH's birthday gift there and then go out to eat or we might go to the beach here.
That's it for the rundown! Have a tremendous Tuesday!

My! Already noon here and none of the easterners or central time people have chimed in....
Diamond D. Happy last first day!!!! I hope you do enjoy each and every day of this last year.
Weight was the same today. Yay! That means it's a "real" weight, in my book. I love how going down on the scale makes me feel so much thinner than when passing the same number on the way up scale. Such a weird mental phenomenon - how one can feel so different about the same weight depending on the direction from which it is approached.
I believe I am having major Senior-itis dreams. Another dream last night about going to the wrong school, having a nice relaxing hang out day and not caring that I didn't teach as contracted. My feeling was, "I'm on site, albeit the wrong one, so what's the big deal? I'm technically working." LOL
CC, after being on a 10 mg dose, for a couple of months, going up to 12.5 did give me a kick in the azz jump start. I think you'll be pleased once you are able to increase dosage, too.
Not much else.
167.4, another uptick but I'm not sweating it! Feeling better, food is mostly going down easier. Still waiting to take my weekly shot. I did get my 1000 calories in yesterday and am on track for today!
Much needed haircut this morning! I always love a fresh cut!
I met with a new care receiver for my Stephen's Ministry program today. We hit it off beautifully and I think it will be a good match. I'm essentially there to be a non judgmental listening ear!
Mushroom Swiss burgers were excellent last night, wish I could have finished the one small burger I made for myself. Tonight is BLT's since neighbor is giving us weekly tomatoes from his garden.
Not much else going on with me today. Think I will work on some scrapbooking. Need to fini**** up so I can sell my supplies before our move.
Glad you got good rest Liz, enjoy the beach sitting!
Peps, I still have work related dreams! I bet yours will continue as well. Funny thing is I still have school related dreams (can't find my classroom, forgot to study for the test, etc) and I have not been in classroom since 1992! I had to giggle about your cheating on the mandatory safety videos. I would do the same as you! Why not? If you can pass the test, you know the stuff! Other than that , I'm such a rule follower!
So weird that I have high school "nightmares" too: I can't find my locker, I can't open my locker, I am lost and can't find my classroom...

Paula, I love your Stephen Ministry stories. Thanks for sharing them. I can't think of a better thing to do for someone than to be present, really see/hear them, listen attentively, and then not offer any advice or opinions about their values, decisions, and actions, but just be there for them.

The 1st day went well! The middle school teachers said this group would be as tough as last year. Maybe they will show themselves differently in the coming days, but they sure didn't come in all hot and guns blazing like my kiddos last year. I didn't hear anyone swear or call each other derogatory names. They came to class on time. They answered questions directed towards them. So I'll call that a good day.
A good day it is!
