Weight 120. Time to reduce to the lowest dose of tirzepatide.

I am looking forward to getting home. I'm not looking forward to leaving the place a mess, but Mike won't care. You are correct Peps that I like to have my place clean and clutter free. Right now there are excess decorations and games everywhere. I decided I have to prioritize: Sheets on my bed have to be washed and 2 clean towels need to be available for Mike and I (we don't get in until about 10 the night we return). Food that won't keep must be thrown out and all trash out. Dishwasher run. But that's it. I told them to leave the decorations up.

Yesterday was another fun day during which I had about one glass of wine to their many glasses of whatever. I think DD is going to be super hung over this morning. We need to leave in about 2.5 hours for the airport but it is only 10 minutes away. Eldest DD flys back to NJ from Orlando so she needs to leave a lot sooner (in a few minutes possibly - need to go check). This weekend has involved a lot of girl bonding and fun - it was good to get to know my daughter's friends better.

Time to get cracking. Have a munificent Monday!

Weight stable (same as yesterday).

Seeing puppies was a lot of fun. There is a little guy who appears to be a Buster mini-me. So cute. One of the girls reminds me of Molly, too. Always interesting to see how the genes line up.

Liz, what a hectic, but fun weekend you've had. I hope you recover quickly from the festivities! BTW, you are in a perfect position to experiment with reverse dieting and increasing metabolism. If you are up for it, it might be worth a try. It really is nice to have metabolism that functions fairly normally.

Congratulations to Kirby for becoming a fully fledged swimmer yesterday! I think a retriever swimming for the first time is equivalent a terrier catching its first rat or squirrel. It's watching them do what they were bred to do and it really does make them so happy and proud. I know I'm always proud of those puppy/teenage milestones! LOL

DD, you may be right about the upcoming changes, but I'm not 100% sold on that theory. Other than learning how to live on a somewhat lowered income, I'm feeling very positive about retirement. I do believe I am "grieving" the future loss of GOAT. I had to strongly remind myself that my new dog mobile is not an RV and it is not meant to be an RV. Embracing that reality is helping the general mood.

Diane S. your Princess Bush is gorgeous! They do flourish in your climate, don't they! I bet peonies and hydrangeas do well in your area, too.

Feeling a little better today. I tweaked my back reaching for a puppy yesterday. I recognized the feeling and knew I needed to be very careful, so I took two Advil and then in the late afternoon went for a gentle massage. Did the trick. I also think the massage released some tension and possibly some endorphins helping my overall mood.

That's all I've got!

Genes are such a big factor. You get to see it in puppies where you know the parents and I have learned it through the adoption of my children. Some adoptive parents prefer to feel that environment trumps genetics but it really just steers it. Genetics doesn't just influence how they physically look, but also their temperament, mannerisms, interests, and intelligence. It has been so interesting to be able to see my adopted children with their birth families.

Sticky and hot (90) today! We walked the dog early and I'm basking in the a/c now while the mowers do their thing outside. Kirby got a bath after his swim yesterday. Amazing post bath shedding. He must be getting rid of his summer coat...

I need to go to the store for dinner stuff. I should get something for tomorrow too. Dinner planning is so tiresome.

That's all that comes to mind currently. Starting to think about making my way home...

Take care!

I loved that video of Kirby swimming. Hopefully that's a breakthrough for him.

170.2. What the heck? I've been teetering around the same weight (within 1 1/2 lbs. for weeks)! Maybe my low calories have me stalled. This weekend it was hard to get in 800 calories per day, mostly due to travel. I did try a Fairlife protein shake and my was it good! Ordered a case from Costco!

The fam was happy to have me home! Too hot to cook so last night was Jimmy John's, tonight will be supermarket sushi ? (ours is actually really good) and tomorrow will be something cool as well and then the weather should get back to normal. Red curry sounds good, so maybe we will have that later this week! Our Bible study on Wednesday is doing a potluck for dinner and I'm bringing charcuterie.

Not much on the agenda for today. I met with my Stephen's Ministry person today. DC is hanging out at the air conditioned house (napping right now) and DH and I need to do a little grocery shopping. Otherwise, nothing going on!

You know from after VSG that our bodies naturally tend to hold onto weight when they feel they have to save us from starvation. It will go down again. I weighed monthly after VSG so I wouldn't have to see the stalls and weekly during other weight loss periods. I only weigh daily during maintenance.

Florida type weather here, 94 degrees with impossibly high humidity. Probably bad storms tonight. The weather must have made it to Michigan.

Liz it is so nice to know your kid's friends. My children both have some life long friends that I know well. I miss them! As adults, they've added important people to their lives, that I don't know as well, or not at all, which of course, is to be expected. (They don't live with me anymore, or need me to drive them around ).

Paula, that tiny up tick is no doubt due to traveling and water retention.

First workshop day was fine, although there were some technology bumps that up the frustration quota. A new sped administration has yet another set of new ideas and changes to how we've done things that are different than the changes made last year. I blissfully don't care. I'll implement them as best I can, even though some are not going to work well. But that will get sorted in due time. Overall, feeling better about the start than last year, which was a complete dumpster fire that burned and smouldered all 9 months.

Not too interested in dinner, after some treats at school. Definitely need to have a protein shake to salvage the day's nutrition.
