Weight 121. Welcome to sunny (and hot) Florida. The weather looks like it will cooperate today and tomorrow hopefully with no thunderstorms. We had a short one when we were leaving the condo last night but it didn't last long.
Day one of the bachelorette weekend is complete and I think was mostly a success with a few minor glitches. The Uber that was supposed to fit 6 people didn't have the rear seat up so we had to stuff 4 of us into the back seat. The limo driver had a hard time finding our pickup spot and the limo sound system was wonky so we kept having to stop for him to fix it. We didn't find a great place with a band until our third try but that one was really fun. Then I couldn't find the blowup beds DH and I had tested - he squirreled them away somewhere but we finally found a twin size one that DD could sleep on. Anyway all worked out and there were people sleeping everywhere here (2 in each of the 3 bedrooms and 3 in the living room on the pull-out couch and blow-up mattress).
Today there is a full agenda. I want to go to a furniture store here to order new lanai furniture at 10 am, bocce with the group at 11, lunch at a Tiki bar in the town just north of us, and listening to a band outside at a bar near there in the afternoon. Then likely back here for the evening with pizza.
Hopefully I will survive the weekend ;) Have a superior Saturday!

Absolutely delightful and lovely gathering of happy young ladies. The smile on the bride to be tells it all.
Nothing going on here because every thing is going on and I laugh at myself every time I put something away because I am sure it will find a better placement later.
There will be much time spent catching up on the haps with you all soon (er or later) when all these boxes are in the garage instead of the house. If that happens, today will definitely be a superior Saturday.

I put sticky notes with kitchen items written on them on all my drawers and cabinets before my stuff arrived and then moved them around to make sure everything was in a logical spot. When I moved into my last house, I just quickly put everything away then *****ed about how none of it made sense for the next 17 years!

Your daughter looks lovely and so happy surrounded by her friends. I hope all your plans go smoothly today, and you do indeed survive.
Miss 150, I would imagine that deciding where to store things could be a bit paralyzing, so kudos to you for continuing and growing the piles of empty boxes in the garage.
Yesterday I had a nice lunch with some friends, but as I was leaving, I felt the niggles of a pending headache. It became a doozy, sending me to bed with little relief all night. I am waking up very gingerly this morning, because it's still hanging on, but, thankfully, less forcefully than yesterday. I'm drinking a huge glass of water, and thinking about what to eat.
My initial plan for today was to get up early and head to the bigger farmer's market in St.Paul. That will have to be for another day. New plan, sitting in a beach chair at one of our fabled lakes. Still a good day!
First week with students is in the books! I got the nicest greeting from my Friday fifth graders. Their kindness made my heart sing. It is gratifying to know that sticking to my belief over the years that building relationships comes before learning continues to pay off. I could not quite read my colleagues' reactions to the situation.
Still on a 10 mg dose. Took the shot of Thursday. I am continuing to lose weight slowly, so no complaints here. Especially because I am not dieting. I have a feeling to get the last 30-40 pounds off I am going to have to make a concerted effort and do a little more planned eating than I have been this summer.
Got to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday with him on Thursday. Kinda special, that!
Interesting conversation the other day about metabolism, calorie intake, etc... I'm just going to throw it out there for consideration: My guess is most of you smaller statured women have mucked up your metabolism through years of restrictive dieting prior to VSG (and even some VSG patients suffer from messed up metabolism...). There is a scientifically proven method to rebuild your metabolism - even after menopause. It's called reverse dieting. Check out the Mayo Clinic's write up on it. Combine reverse dieting with weight training and interval or cardio training and you WILL rebuild your metabolism. No one should have to "survive" on 1300 calories per day. Since I did reverse dieting I am able to maintain my weight (albeit, too high) on roughly 3000 calories per day. I lose really fast on 2000 calories per day, which is less than what I'm eating these days to lose slowly on the tirzepatide.
Made a decision to sell the RV this fall. Makes me sad in one way, but it makes so much sense financially and is a practical decision. The GOAT's replacement fell into my lap on Thursday morning. Ron and I went to look at it yesterday. I drove it home. So, the RV and my dog van will be going bye bye really soon. I'll post a pic on TT.
Swimming puppies, new homes, bachelorette parties, sinus infections, headaches, bridal dress shopping, dads and husbands falling ill.... A lot is going on with our tribe this week. I am wishing the best for one and all and all of those close and dear to us!
Liz, loved the photo.... Happy bride and oh, so happy Mama!
I need to look into the reverse dieting - it seems to make sense.
