Today's task: clean the upstairs bathroom. That's about it! I wanted a week with minimal plans before school started, and I got it!

Happily full of bacon right now, weight remains steady.

We started watching Interview with a Vampire on AMC +. (AMC + streaming courtesy of DD, who can afford all these streaming services these days?). Some parts require closed eyes on my part, but I'm invested enough to want to finish what's released so far. I remember reading the Anne Rice books in the '80s, but I can't say whether this adaptation is true to her story or not. The 80s were a long time ago!

Liz, I have anxiety dreams about my loved ones too. I wonder if the dream about Justice is tied in with your DS not being at home with him.

I just can't do vampire books or movies!

That might make sense about why I am having nightmares like that about Justice.

It actually rained today for real. Not for very long and not everywhere. Maybe it was just on the freeway. I went to the studio to do my requisite two hours of useful activity per day. Did some glazing and carving.

Last nights calzone was not so good. We will toss the rest. Still must cook those farmers market green beans.

CC I am with you on shrimp vs lobster when inland. I would not like to eat something that has traveled so far. Glad it was good.

Liz farm-to-table sounds fun. What was the meat offering? You guys really get around! You have a lot of stuff coming up. Self care suggested.

Vampires DD! Everyone says those Ann Rice books are great but I don't like scary books. Guess those stories are about more than scary stuff. Many years ago I read "Helter Skelter" about the Manson family. It was incredibly scary. Took me ages to read it because I could only read it in the daytime. Glad you are having a slow week before the fun begins.

Bonnie sounds like you are getting a handle on the move. Stuff will get done when it gets done so why sweat it. Enjoy exploring a new neighborhood. And thank you for the reminder to get rid of stuff. Good on you for supporting ST. V de P.

DH is now engrossed in a mystery about the Lost Dutchman gold mine. He wonders why I like true crime shows

Liz I once had a terrible dream that someone had killed my dog in a science experiment. I woke up in tears and put that dog in my bed.

The Manson family stories are terrifying because they're real! In Cold Blood scared the b'jeezus out of me too, growing up in a rural area.

Agreed. The Manson stuff was so scary because it tells you that a criminally insane person could be anywhere. And yeah, In Cold Blood was horrifying. And hey, I grew up in Lincoln Nebraska and remember clearly when Charles Starkweather was on the lose. You young people can google that mass murderer. ds

I worked at the hospital that Jeffrey Dahmer was brought to when he was attacked in prison and subsequently died. My boyfriend worked at the prison he was in! Talk about scary people!
