VSG Maintenance Group

Great date night last night. We went to a restaurant on the water in Woods Hole, a little village tucked away in a corner of this part of the Cape and sat at a table next to the open windows (pictures from our table below). There is no AC in this old building but no need for it with the sea breeze. Afterwards we stopped at a bar just down the street from my home and listened to a band whose lead singer is from my former town and used to play soccer with DD. We have seen the group before but she has improved so much, mainly because she has more confidence in her voice. Fun time.
Now that I am in goal weight range, I tried on the dress for my daughter's wedding which I had bought small. It fits! I was afraid it would be too big and I would need to have it altered. What a relief!
Lots of amusing comments on boobs and their complications yesterday (sorry Peps). As my mother said in her last days "There were so many things in life that you just had to laugh at".
Today I return to fretting about getting the cupola painted - a friend who does odd jobs is supposed to do it this weekend but it is rainy today. I hope it is dry enough tomorrow. It is the last thing out of my control that needs to be done to the house before the pictures are taken on Tuesday. The landscapers were supposed to mulch today but they did it yesterday because of the forecast. I sent the owner a note because I was so appreciative.
Not much in the plans for today due to the rain, but I am going to dinner with the "girls" (eldest DD, SILs, and possibly niece).
Have a sedulous Saturday!

Beautiful ship view!
Yes, poor Peps! Boobs, periods, menopause... I was going to do arms and boobs after my body lift/legs, but you all know how that first part went. So I have a very saggy upper half. My arms bother me way more than my chest.
Feeling a cleaning bug today. I did the stove grates last night. My folks used my kitchen this winter while theirs was being remodeled and while they cleaned the stainless part of the stove, the cast iron grates were sticky. Today I'm working on bathrooms and washing/changing sheets and towels. Vacuuming as usual. I did it yesterday and can see the tumbleweeds already.
Feeling so much better today having slept well. It's warm out - closer to 80 later I think.
Scale was 190.4 this morning. Maybe the 180s will be visible in the next few weeks.
I think that's all. Going to dry my hair, then start vacuuming. Take care and have a great day!
The way I describe my sagginess is that I look like a melted candle. Your surgery recovery was so rough, but I hope you can enjoy the outcome now. I would really like to get rid of my apron, but I'm also scared. I'm a slow but solid recoverer. I worry I wouldn't bounce back very fast. And a panniculectomy would be a much less intensive surgery than you experienced.
Still 11 pounds down! With as much as I am sweating today I may make my 12 lbs. in my first month! I worked our church garden this morning and then DH and loaded up the cars with art fair stuff. Will have to set up tent and hang pictures later afternoon, early evening. It is hot and humid here and will be even more so tomorrow! That's WI for you!
We had our date night last night too. I got tuna guacamole which is just guac with chopped raw tuna on top (put together with a mold) and then soy sauce over the whole thing. They serve it with sweet potato chips and you just scoop it up with the chips and eat! Super yummy! We won't get done setting up for the art fair until 6 or 7 so it will be Jimmy John's on the way home. A little John was the perfect size for me before starting the meds. We'll see if I can eat it all now. Probably can.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!
143.6 (no doubt a result of moving Heckle and Jeckle all over living creation) I have no desire to go under 140 which is not a bit attractive on me. I wish I could say, like Ann, " more desserts are in order", but then there is that sugar and white carbs problem. There is a reason why I don't drink anymore and the same thing goes with the above. Different demon screaming the same message....
Liz, the view from the restaurant is to be found nowhere around here, and for sure, if it was, the restaurant would be booked up for decades no matter what the quality of the menu.
Another busy day...hoping to get more stuff over to the new house. Goal for here is to open space and depersonalize, while at the same time leaving enough to maintain the craftsman "vibe". Personally, even though it is good advice, I think the realtor who suggested this ought to be over here helping me do just that.
While I don't have ****ly's cleaning bug, I guess it's time to get after it and have me a sedulous Saturday.
I'm supposed to be in maintenance mode already but still dropping some. Plans are not exactly jelling....was hoping to just continue with the protein forward, good for you carbs though veggies and fruits, and healthy fats, etc. Definitely needs some further adjustment- more calories for sure, but needing to pay attention to a very fickle system.
