VSG Maintenance Group

On my gosh, what a beautiful day. I could just sit outside taking in deep breaths of the intoxicating loamy green scent wafting through the yard for hours. No rain for the next few days, and a heat wave is coming. We will probably turn on the AC for the first time this season.
Last night I was craving the best hamburger in our metro area, so off to St. Paul. They use brisket, chuck and new York strip, ground in house. Pricey, but oh so good. I ate half in the restaurant, and just had a quarter of the burger here at home for brunch.
Today running some shopping errands. Afterwards, I hope to work more on my deck pillow sewing.
Liz, I'd say your DD made a good decision about bringing in the pros for getting things out of her inherited house. Does she not live in the area? I would think a property on the Cape would be precious, no matter the condition. But maybe it is a moneypit.
Off to run errands!
Yes, DD lives in New Jersey. The problem with the house she inherited is that essentially no maintenance was done for 20 years, so it really is a tear down. But the land is worth so much that the taxes are high. Though DD might choose to purchase something else ultimately (perhaps even on Cape Cod), it would be too expensive to bring this piece of property up to snuff and maintain it.

Liz, you sure do get a lot of visitors! Hope the house sells fast but the closing is after the wedding!
Peps, congrats on 40 lbs. down! That's awesome! I can't wait to start shopping from my closet again. I tried on a dress that was too tight to get away with and now fits perfectly. I don't think I've ever worn it so will plan to do so this weekend!
Couples Bible study last night and woman's bible study this morning. This afternoon I meet with my Stephen's ministry person as a lay minister. Hoping I can continue to do that with a church in FL.
Weather is perfect today so I plan on grilling salmon and veggies for dinner. Tomorrow we will go out to eat somewhere! Date night! ?
DC #1 is back at work doing another job and so far is fairing well. They interviewed for a different manager position but have not heard yet if they got it. They are actually wanting a different position and hope they can interview for that one soon. I'm just glad they are working and seem relatively happy.
Time to edit a few pictures before my next meeting!
Yay to DC doing well!

Kirby is now a true Carter golden having had his inaugural feast of deer droppings which he then yakked all over my floor. Twice. Dogs are GROSS.
My folks are gone for a few days, so all by myself! Except for the yakker. I made the enchilada soup today so I'd have something easy to eat the next few days. It wasn't as good! I think I put in too many onions. Should have stuck to half an onion. I also got lazy and did canned fire roasted corn and used the whole thing. So too much corn. I think the two things watered it down too much. Or my taster is off.
First post shot day and eating less has been easier today. Another possible cause of my overeating of late was it's apparently that time of the month. Except I'm peri-menopausal, so who knows when it will bother to show up! This one was 58 days between. Last time was 54. I'm a clock winding down... I'm ready. Bring it on.
Today I worked on the next newsletter for my HOA and found out a bunch of people never got the last one. So too much time spent today trying to figure out how the management company messed that up. Apparently it's their email system and we are not the only community they manage having this issue. Hopefully our manager will have it straightened out for this next one.
The scale was down a teeny bit so I am 0.2 up from 40 pounds lost. Again!
I think that may be everything for me. Hope you all are having a good day!!
PS - I laughed out loud reading Diane's description yesterday of she and DH continuing "to feed upon the carcass of the Costco chicken." Excellent visual!
