I read that some people layer on another med like Contrave (which is supposed to reduce cravings) to quiet down food noise even more. Does it help you with volume at all? I still have food noise in varying amounts, but my stop eating signal is stronger with the meds than without.

It helps a little with volume, but I can still finish what is in front of me, though I do have more self-control than before the medication. I can reason with myself that it's okay to stop. I do think being on the meds is better than not being on them, but at this point it's starting to feel like an eye test where you're never quite sure of the right answer: "is one better or two?" um...one? No, maybe two... I'm sure if I went off them completely I would definitely be able to see again that this feels better than without! But maybe I've gotten so used to being on it that I'm forgetting how bad it was before? I have medication privilege!

For what it's worth, I find that when I am focusing on protein, especially when its coming from low-fat dairy and protein shakes, I end up lowering dietary fat, and I'm less satisfied and want to eat more. Upping fat a bit holds me longer.

Full fat works that way for me, too.

AMEN to that! I fry my eggs in real butter, eat beef, use mayo and use full fat greek yogurt. It's much more satisfying. To go low carb and low fat is to invite your body to set off alarms of EAT! If one does low fat, you have to be willing to go high carb. If you're going to go low carb, you have to be willing to go high fat. It's biology 101!

I definitely have an appetite, but get filled up much quicker. Though I had much less appetite in the beginning than I do lately. I have cravings like Peps for specific things, like hummus for instance. But cravings for sweets are almost non-existent.

Oh, I wish for the lack of sweets cravings! But I'm wondering, are you still drinking wine or the occasional ****tail? When I drank alcohol, I never ever craved sweets.

I still have wine but way less. I used to crave sweets more when I had wine so the connection in our brains is apparently quite different LOL.

Weight back down! Whew! I'm suspecting I'll hit 10 lbs lost soon. Yay!

Worked in the church's garden this morning and brought the haul to the food pantry. Tonight is couples Bible study.

Im feeling nappy, so think I will lay down for an hour. The retired life! I did take a walk yesterday and it felt good. I'm working on editing photos from the Botanical Gardens and need to start implementing some Search Engine Optimization ideas for my Etsy site.

Interesting how everyone responds differently to the GLP 1 meds. Sorry you are not getting as much help from them as you would like CC! My 5mg came in the mail today but it isn't shot day until Sunday. I'll see if I can squeeze another dose or so out of my first bottle!

Peps, glad the new dose is working for you again and Yay on new clothes. I just ordered a new summer dress in a medium and hope to be able to wear it by the end of summer! First time giving in to the Tik Tok made me buy it trend!

Everyone responds differently and we definitely build a tolerance over time. I wonder what it will be like in maintenance mode.
