Tired (again). I didn't sleep great (again). We had a nice evening including dinner with DH's family. I even won Bingo twice (home game run by his granddaughter). I actually ate most of my meal (shrimp scampi), except for some of the pasta. Tonight I am planning to cook CC's soup since it looked so tasty.

Back to the grindstone on the house stuff for a little while this morning. Most of the heavy lifting has already been done. The dumpster is full and will be picked up tomorrow. The remaining work involves getting donations, electronics and hazardous waste to the places they need to go. Then staging the house.

But most of the day I plan to be at the beach (after my PT session). Too nice a day to waste entirely indoors.

Have a terpsichorean Tuesday!

ETA (if it works): OH is driving me nuts! I must have had 5 gateway failures this morning!

Cool and rainy this morning. The scale is bouncing around the same number. Tomorrow is my first 10mg shot. I'm ready for it. Which again makes me worry down the line as there are only two more dose increases after this one and I get used to each in about two months. At least they are running clinical trials on two higher doses. And retatrutide comes out in a few years...

No plans today, but I need to run the vacuum around. Kirby is in hog heaven with sticks from the maple trees and the fallout "crumbs" are everywhere!

I emailed the architect yesterday. I hope she's willing to help! I need to email the contractor to get on his radar for the winter too.

Dinner tonight is clean out the fridge of leftovers night.

I think that's it - I need to go jump in the shower...

DD, enjoy the zoo! The SD zoo is my favorite. And Balboa Park is beautiful. Hope the museums have some good exhibit for you! The Giant Dome Theater at the Fleet Center is kind of neat and a nice respite from the walking. They have a Comic-Con museum too, though that's not my thing, but maybe DHs?

I think you will be down to goal before the max dose stops working. Good news on the architect!

Well, I'm putting in my vote for a Feinschmeker Friday now! LOL

I was replying to someone yesterday and got fed up with the time out and gateway errors and just called it a day.

CC, we did the leftover thing last night. I always find that so satisfying. Usually tasty and virtually no work involved.

Weight held in the new decade and was even down a tenth, but as you know, I don't really monitor the tenths anymore. Too much of a crazy maker for me. I like a two pound swing during maintenance and a 1 pound swing during WL is okay by me. Though I do find that some days I'm just up for no apparent reason. I figure it's just fluid.

Getting protein in on the hot days seems to be a bit harder. Not sure why, but it is. Yesterday I got my first dose of protein with a mega dose of Fage Greek Yogurt. I have to do better today. But I did get plenty of fluid in. Ron nags me about staying hydrated. Not sure why. He thinks I don't drink enough water for some reason. I think maybe it's because he has to drink a lot due to his kidney issues, so that a normal amount of water seems pitiful in comparison. Not sure.

It's supposed to be another scorcher today. Gearing up for the heat! Yesterday I stayed indoors mostly. But I got the house vacuumed and dusted, which felt good. I also got the vacuum into the repair guy. It needs a new fan and some maintenance. He'll let me know what else he finds when he opens it up. I like the vacuum, so I hope he is able to get it back in order. Otherwise, I will need to start looking for a new one. Any suggestions are welcome - except for Shark vacuums. Our experience is they do not hold up to our (ab)use and are nearly impossible to repair. We have gone through two in the same number of years.

Today I must trim Molly so she is ready for Long Beach this weekend. I also absolutely MUST work on the bathroom sink drains. The bathroom sinks are almost back to back and are not draining properly. Something is amiss. Hopefully, something I can manage without having to call a plumber. I want to hang a few pictures today, too. I have some dog art that I haven't hung that really needs to be on the walls. I'm a sucker for old print ads with Airedales. I have several from the 20s, 30s and 40s nicely framed hanging on the walls.

Off to bear the heat!

We love our Dyson vacuums. We have both the Animal (good for pet hair) and the handheld cordless (great for smaller jobs, car etc.) Bonus is DH loves to fix broken ones. He orders parts and watches you tube videos on how to fix. He actually has bought broken ones off EBay and then fixes up for mist of the kids!

I have a hard time getting water in. Which reminds me I should go make myself a drink. I can't drink jus****er, lately I have been adding in Jolly Rancher flavor packets (green apple or watermelon). Tastes just like the candy!

Love my Dyson, which is an awesome vacuum. And I also love my Roomba. They're good for different things.

I love closing the door to my white-carpeted bedroom and letting the Roomba do its thing.

Weight stable. I'm pleased a*****h with the weight loss so far. I think I can even see it in my face already.

Cool rainy day today. Perfect for a snuggly nap with DH. I get too many hot flashes to snuggle up at night but have no problem during the day! Dogs will nap with us anytime of the day. In fact Emma will sleep all night with me and if DH works nights will sleep with him the next day with a potty break or two in there!

Will try and scrapbook tonight. My goal is to finish one more book and then get all my stuff ready to sell! I literally have a few thousand of dollars in supplies! No way am I moving all this crap to FL. Each kid will have about 12 4 inch thick 12X12 albums to take. I've documented their entire childhoods in pictures and journaling! I have as many family albums that I will keep!

Nice job with the weight loss.

I suffered with hot flashes/night sweats for 20 years and in the early years they were really debilitating at night. I still will get very mild ones at night if I am too warm but not much. About 5 years in when they were wreaking havoc with my sleep my doctor told me that some women never got over them, but I had them in the years when they recommended no estrogen if there was a family history of heart disease. Thank goodness they are finally not an issue, but I definitely feel your pain.

Good for you doing the albums. I don't want to move my pictures either but they are going to end up in DH's basement.

Greetings all

Sunny and warm today. Heat wave at 72. But I bet it's miserable inland. Heat is no joke.

Scrabble this morning. Won two but lost to the Shark but not by much. I did not get my Tuesday cheeseburger because there was no place to park. Not needed. I made hamburgers last night and will probably do the same tonight. Seems like in these later years I worry more about what to make for dinner. I used to have more stuff on hand and mac and cheese or other pasta was always an easy option. I used to always keep a brick of Velveta on hand! Talk about bad food.....

Stopped by the studio and made some owls. Must push myself as I am low on inventory. The studio is less busy in the summer as there is so much to do outside. In the winter rain its aways packed! Talked with one of our co owners about some finance stuff. Felt like a grown up for about 10 seconds.

DD enjoy SanDiego. So much stuff there. Great place.

I listened to an interview on NPR today with a comedian named Ian Karmel. He was an overweight child and adult until recently. He wrote a memoir called "The Tee Shirt Swimming Club". It sounded interesting and the interview was fun. He lost quite a bit of weight without surgery/ I remember some fat boys wearing t shirts in the pool because they were fat and sort of had boobs. I think my older brother did that. Anyway it reminded me of unpleasant feelings of being seen at the pool even though I loved it when I was swimming. He also is a comedy writer and it's a funny interview.

Liz gl on the house. You have made huge progress! Beach time earned.

CC good plan to do both bathrooms with architect. You are wise to get on a list fast. Good contractors are always busy. And congrats to Kirby on discovering sticks! What will he do when he figures out that they float!!
