We got a lot done at the house yesterday and we made it out for date night - early evening though. We were home by 8. The insulation is replaced in the older basement storage room. The screen porch and the furniture for it have been power-washed. 75% of the garage has been cleared. Not much major left to do though we need to bring donations to where they are going and make the rooms look nice which largely involves DS decluttering.
And I slept really well most of the night. I feel much better today. The aches and pains are mostly gone. I have skipped 2 days of shoulder exercises though so need to get back to them today. However I have certainly been using my arm so I think it was getting some work without me thinking about it.
Not much else on the agenda today. It is a gray day with thunderstorms predicted most of the day so all work will be inside.
Have a suaveolent Sunday!

Since I had to look it up... Suaveolent: fragrant, sweet smelling (botanical Latin)
It was brutally hot at the show yesterday, but Molly brought it home. I'm sure it didn't hurt that I have known one of the judges for 28 years. But no one can deny Molly's quality.
I am hoping to be done by noon today. If Molly wins either of the Terrier Groups, then we will not be going home early. But since it is Sunday and going to be another 100 degree day, I'd be plenty happy with a second place award in either group.
Yesterday's food intake was probably a little lean on protein. I'm guessing right around 60, which for me is not enough. I think I mentioned I forgot to pack my premade meals. A friend was kind enough to drive me to the supermarket so I didn't have to walk in the heat. I grabbed two TV dinners and let it go at that.
Bug is doing great here. She is quite good at RV life and is now leash broken. It's cute to see the 10 week old puppy just chugging away on her leash to keep up with her big sister. I always love to leash train pups with a mature adult. It makes it so much easier when they have a role model. Also, Molly is so stable and unconcerned about barking dogs. The puppy picked up on that immediately and decided that barking dogs were nothing over which to be alarmed or fearful.
Must get Miss Molly ready for showing. Have a super duper Sunday, ladies! I'm going to try and stay COOL!
Good luck today (maybe 2nd level luck ;)!

Chilly in the 50s and windy! Kirby was not good last night so I'm pooped.
We went looking for a table and chairs today at a local store and they didn't have anything. So will probably have to order. Which is fine.
Then we stopped for ice cream. I had a junior scoop in a cup and they had massive waffle cone scoops. I felt ill at the end! They are people who like partners in (eating) crime, but they want us all to be thin. It's a weird dynamic. I need to push back harder!
They are going to an engagement party thing for their friend's daughter and I opted out. So I can at least be in control of dinner. I opted out of pancakes this morning and subbed eggs. But the struggle is real.
Weight was up 0.6. Too much snacking yesterday.
That is kind of a strange dynamic - that they encourage you to eat but criticize when you gain weight. DH definitely likes me to eat more when he does (though he has stopped saying anything thank goodness), but he also doesn't care much if I am heavier.

Food pushers, yah....if you're not participating, that (somehow) is taken to be something like a judgmental attitude towards their food choices or amount. Remember they're pushing but not for your benefit - it is about their comfort. First and foremost, every member involved in the activity is a free agent and respect is shown in this regard.
Practice the magic words, "No, no thank you; I'm good for now". Further urging- same answer as long as it takes...(advice I read years ago from an etiquette columnist, the ever wise and wonderful Miss Manners.
Weight the same. Took my injection in the belly today instead of thigh. I'll see if that changes anything (not that I'm looking for a change).
Funny that Peps talked about choking down protein drinks. That was me this morning. Felt a bit nauseous and then had diarrhea after drinking it. I might not be buying protein powder again but it is such an easy way to get lots of protein in! What are you all using for lower calorie high protein meals/snacks? Any winners since I've done this last? I see protein brownies advertised on Tick Tok but the calories seem high unless I use it as a meal and I don't want to train my brain that a brownie equals a meal!
Not much going on today. I watched church online as DH is working today. He forgot his personal phone at home so I had to run it to him. DC is over but taking a nap in the guest room. We met their new friend from therapy last night and she seems nice. I just hope the relationship doesn't become one of dependence like the one they had with their neighbor. I would like to see them branch out with several new friends. The neighbor was the only friend they had and they had a falling out during in intensive outpatient therapy program. I don't want this new friend to be their one and only again.
Grilled teriyaki chicken breasts with Swiss cheese and pineapple slices for dinner, a family favorite.
