I hope those people show up! I had some issues years ago with Craig's List where people didn't.

Safe travels Liz!

More rain predicted for today through Saturday. I'm looking forward to a semi arid week in San Diego the end of the month. One upside, it is very, very green here. An explosion of foliage.

We had a nice evening chatting with my friend while sipping old fashioneds. I love how DH is so welcoming to my friends, and makes them his friends too.

I'm feeling a little under the weather this morning, and I think I will skip my workout this morning. I'll use the time to drink more tea and eat more protein. And maybe a nap. We are still planning on an outdoor concert this evening, but it is not looking promising. At least no tickets were purchased, so if we pivot, not a big deal.

Greetings all

Sunny here today!

Sending you some sunshine and healing energy Paula. Hoping today is much better than yesterday and that things are turning for the better. Thinking of you and DC. In patient treatment can be a very good thing for mental health issues.

I actually cooked last night. Chicken and asparagus. Plus there is enough for tonight.

Still attacking The List. I got the guest room dusted and DH is running one of his many air purifiers there. Amazing how musty a room can seem when no one goes in there. Windows open also.

DH walked both dogs today. Good to see him moving. He is now into Apple news crosswords which he started doing while he was waiting around on jury duty. One of my favorite pastimes.

Liz guess you are saying farewell to Aruba. Hope it's not horribly hot when you get home. News reports of heat waves are horrid. Everyone in our area worries that as global warming progresses, people will flock to our remote area because it is naturally cool.

Yay CC the fans have been rehired. Lots of people around here use the local facebook market page to get rid of stuff. I am always a bit leery of this because people who come might "case" the house. I would still like to get rid of marble table but its far to heavy for anything other than buyer haul. Oh well. LOL Kirby got the better of the dog trainer!

Bonnie 8 hours of basement clean out!! Should be an olympic sport. Basement cleanup hurdles with relay team. Gold for you!

I did manage my treadmill with the canoes on my feet but not comfy. I did get the old shoe glued together but realized how pathetic that is so will continue efforts to find new ones. The old ones came from Kohl's but I doubt they have the same thing 15 years later.

At the grocery store yesterday I rewarded myself with a cold soda. Managed to cough as I took a sip, thereby giving my nose a coca cola douche! That was fun NOT.

Somehow I always seem to swallow the wrong way when eating in public. Coughing and eyes watering with everyone looking to see if you are breathing...

Cape Cod will be hot, but 10-15 degrees cooler than Boston, so it is bearable. The basement is always cool so that is actually a good place to start our work (and I do have central AC).

Hey, if you're coughing, you're not choking! People should know that and stop gawking!

We were supposed to go to San Diego today to visit my DH's uncle (97) and aunt (100), but Uncle came down with a bad/cold cough (not Covid, fortunately), and so the trip has to be postponed. Instead, I made 28 jars of lovely tart plum jam with my BFF...so yummy.

I am making a conscious effort to eat more, protein and otherwise. I am at the lowest weight I have been since I was about 30 (and that's 40 years ago!), but I think my face is starting to look a wee bit gaunt, so I am going to try to gain back 5 lbs. I lost that last 5 when I was in Europe early last month (with my BFF). We spent a week in Paris and then another week in Switzerland with college friends. We averaged over 5 miles a day walking, and I just didn't eat enough. At home, I have multiple smaller meals since I can't eat much volume, but there, I was probably only eating 2 "real" meals a day with only the occasional snack (and then it was probably half a pastry!). It is absolutely the weirdest experience EVER. In the past, I would walk by a bowl of ice cream or a cookie and gain 5 lbs just glancing at it. But I am not gaining. Not losing either, though, so that's good. I think the semaglutide has really increased my metabolism. Anyway, it's a novel feeling!

28 jars! I am in awe!

Trying to gain weight back is weird, isn't it? After VSG at one point I dropped as low as 113 which was way too thin and had to do the same. Once I get to 125 I will probably need to add some smaller meals too - similar to maintenance after VSG where for quite a while I ate a small amount approximately every 3 hours.
