Welcome to summer at 5 pm today!
It is our last full day in Aruba. We are going home to heat but not as high as in Boston. It will be high 70's at the Cape Cod beaches up to mid-80's at my house. I'm looking forward to being back home.
We had a nice time with friends on the beach until after dark last night. There was music, drinks and shared snacks. We had a lot left over from the kids so it was a good way to fini**** up. No sunset though. It was cloudy all day yesterday so no color in the sky. Though Aruba can have fantastic sunsets, they are actually somewhat rare at least this time of year. Maybe one really spectacular one every 2 weeks or so?
My tirzepatide injection is onboard. I'm still staying at 5 mg at this point. Sort of a week to week decision as to whether to move up to 7.5. Tomorrow is weigh-in day.
Have a thalassic Thursday!

151.4 (took the quickie inventory, all good, no problem).
DH is certain the 1.4# is muscle gain due to yesterday's basement clean out. I wi**** worked that way.
I was just short of 8 hours down there, and, OMGo****he haul it away pile is crazy. Lots of stuff/equipment from the 20's forward just waiting for the good old days to return. I am not innocent, either, and there was much stuff of mine over 30 years (thinking my kiddos could use them as they settled out on their own ). The 5x4x2 DeLavel cream separator stays (luckily) because it's bolted to the cement floor as is the Frankenstein's laboratory iron drill press attached to one of the original cedar tree trunks that have served as support posts for the house.
The haul away pile is easy (hired out to do), but WTH to do with perfectly good-you name it stuff. One pile area down, 3 to go. Then begins the house proper.
Off and away to scope out the new house. Realtor there while fireplace workers there so we have access to poke around while they are there.
No sea related day for me, Liz, hope yours is wonderful.
I applaud all your hard work and DHs sense of humor. :) Just the kind of person you need in these situations. We have lived in our house 37 years, and are the original owners, so every single ridiculous item is of our own doing. I don't know what will finally get us to empty the basement, as we have no plans to move in the foreseeable future.
We are digging into the basement first too. Though there is only 15 years of living there and most of that not full time I am still dreading it. Sounds like you guys did a lot!

Yesterday was one of those
Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Days
l'll give details on the TT board but suffice it to say that it started with a stalled vehicle on a very busy highway and ended with an admission to the hospital (the 2 events not being related).
Weight down about 4 lbs., but really about 2 since I had that odd uptick right when starting Tirzepatide. Considering I ate my lunch and dinner from an ER waiting vending machine, I'll call it a win. I actually was below 1,000 for the day. Just too exhausted to try and eat a real dinner when I got home at 8:30 pm.
Today DH is doing a little Celebration of Life for his Mom with his sisters. I'm home with my Mom, will pick up the repaired vehicle when DH returns and then visit DC in the hospital late afternoon/early evening. I already made a lasagna to toss in the oven for an easy dinner tonight.
Enjoy your last day in Aruba Liz! I get wanting to get home too though. Good luck with readying your house to sell. We need to start working on that as well since we have almost 2 households stuffed into ours.
Sending much love and many hugs.
And cleaning out a house is best done only when absolutely necessary IMO.

Up and out early for a Kirby training session. He was in full puppy mode today. Even the trainer who works him like magic was struggling. But we laughed it off and did our best. Now he's home and napping, the stinker.
I posted the fandeliers to a buy, sell, give FB page for the local area. I hate FB and messenger and had never used the page before, so it was kind of a mess until I realized the post was live and lots of people wanted them. Since it took me an hour before I saw anything there were all these posts about how I was a scammer. For crying out loud, I'm just not FB savvy! In the end, the second person who claimed them is meeting me in a restaurant parking lot in 45 minutes to get them. Whew. First person flaked and I'm not spending a second's more effort than I have to to keep these out of the dump!
Scale was back down to my low of last week. 193.2. The day after a shot sure feels better cravings-wise than the day before!
I think that's it from here. Must go load fans and get going... have a lovely day!
