Very tired today. I couldn't fall asleep until late but woke up more or less at my usual time. Maybe I will sleep on the beach today.
Snorkeling was great yesterday as I was able to use steps from the boat into the water to get in and out. The trip included a decent lunch of paella. Last night we took DD to Wacky Wahoo and she proclaimed it to be her favorite so far.
Tonight we are taking her to an old established restaurant which is a favorite of many here but we have never been to. They opened a tapas "garden" last year where we have a reservation. DD leaves tomorrow morning at which point we are turning the car in and will have 2 more nights left.
I am looking forward to getting home though not necessarily to starting the work on the house. DS has begun and is also starting to look at apartments where he thinks he wants to live. He will have to be out with his cat before the house goes on the market so I'm glad he is taking the initiative finally. DH, Justice, and I will move to DH's Cape home while mine is being shown. The average number of days on the market is 15 right now so it might not be for very long. I hope that part goes fast but also hope I don't have to close until mid-October after DD's wedding. Lots of juggling.
In the meantime, time to go to the beach. Have a tenacious Tuesday!

150.8 Well, there you have it, and I reclaim my avatar. (range 140 - 150 w/ sweet spot at 145).
Liz, you have found the word I've been looking for- juggling- It's not the work involved in buying/selling/moving, it's the ever increasing number of things to do- people involved- deadlines to meet-decisions to make----all of them are up in the air needing to be organized and dealt with, reorganized .... I'm a get a job done, move on to the next..., but this juggling act, not my strong suit. I'm trying to remember that, whether done well or badly, time moves on and we'll survive and create a new adventure.
It is again a lovely and very breezy, early Kansas summer day. The wheat is still up in the fields adjacent to our property and for real is a rolling ocean of gold - "amber waves of grain".
Phone calls to be made (where are you, ****ly, when I need you?), a sweetbread to bake (don't know what yet) for weekly Tea on Tuesday group meet, and then a leisurely sorting game of Keep, Sell, Give or Throw Away. I actually like doing this when it doesn't involve stuff that I'm emotionally (TENACIOUSLY)attached to.
Enjoy the day!

Down a few more tenths of a pound today. I'll take it! I am only a pound and a half away from the next "decade".
I had a great upper body workout last night, ending with pushups to renegade rows. It's an intense move, but so worth the effort. Here's a very short video:pushups to renegade row What I love about this move is that it can be adapted to almost any level of fitness. I do the version in the video, but it can be done with knee pushups or even inclined pushups. Of course, for Liz they are off limits for the time being... Too much shoulder!
I decided to monitor my protein intake with scrutiny yesterday. I chose to eat as normally as possible, without pushing protein, but being aware and protein forward in my eating. Without pushing myself I only managed 84 grams of protein, so I did end the day with an extra shot of protein in the form of a Quest Bar to get my minimum of 100 grams in. Pushing the protein is HARD on the meds, but really must be a focus. The next few days will be tough because I'll be away. I think I will pack a few Quest Bars for the trip. At least I'll be able to start the day with an extra shot of protein.
Well, I must get off the laptop and get going... so I'm ready to roll out of here at noon.
Yes, a tenacious Tuesday to all! However, I'm thinking that for our group I will also say, "Have a Tirzepatide Tuesday, friends!"
Perfect sign-off!
I used to like those Quest bars post-VSG, but on Tirzepatide I don't like anything that is too sweet or too salty so the thought of them turns me off.

Interesting! I have had no changes really in what I like to eat. I still LOVE sweets, but can only tolerate a much smaller portion. Salty is also not an issue.... The biggest change for me is how the emotional and physical relationship with food has changed with the med on board. The knowing I am finished eating well before I feel uncomfortable is such a new and welcome feeling.
Kurt was scrolling through FB last night (he shares my feed) and pipes up with, " Hey, that's Devon and his weights. Is he in his garage gym, or does he use his trainer's place?" I blinked and then had to smile. (Yes, I do share you alls adventures and interesting insights and stuff) Guess he has adopted every body in this forum through TT and me into his own personal set of friends. Said to say you're looking good, and howdy to one and all.
You guys are the friends I talk to the most so of course other family and friends know about all of you!
BTW, I was looking at Quest protein chips to use with hummus for my afternoon snack - that will boost my protein by another 19g. We are lucky we have you to remind of of our need to be nutrition and exercise conscious!
