Greetings all

The sun is out but it is windy. Today is the Oyster Festival on the plaza in arcata. It's a fun event but no place to park and crowds and lines. No thanks. They do have all kinds of great oysters and a contest among cooks. Tons of oysters are grown locally. There is an oyster calling contest. The event was a great tradition then really sputtered with covid and has suffered from not enough workers. Staying away from the entire town today.

I am working on my checklist. Each task is underway but none are completed so no rewarding check marks for me. The dark side of removing clutter is that more clutter is uncovered. Also dust is kicked up. Why do we have so much junk?

CC what a fun shopping trip. Your friends are enablers or co-dependant shoppers!! Always nice to have friends who are helpful and not yuck promoting. The chicken store sounds fun. I bet all the shopping in Sedona is cool and interesting. Glad you got some good stuff. My summer shopping consists of three long sleeved Ts from lands end.

DD sorry it's cold. Yeah, movie time. Whoo hoo on retiring in one year! Got a countdown like Peps?

Liz glad Aruba continues to be fun. Do your PT! You will be thankful later.

Gallery yesterday was busy. The town was packed with cars and there was no where to park because it was the elementary school last day. On the way home I drove down Scenic drive; a fabulous road with is pretty much hanging off cliffs over the ocean. It is one land in some parts and some gravel and my favorite view parking lot is fenced off because some of it is falling in to the ocean. Still beautiful. Will take the brother unit on the drive. They have to maintain that road because people live along it. Otherwise I think it would become a trail.

Steak tonight.

10 - 4 over and out.

All the visitors can be frustrating I bet, but its a good sign you picked an awesome place to live. I've only seen the Redwoods in Muirs Park outside of Sausalito. It was amazing! Someday we must explore more of Northern California. I've never been to Oregon or Washington State either. On limited vacation time, I'm always chasing the warm sun.

All those places are quite beautiful - lush and green compared to many other states. The cold ocean water and beaches are very different from the east coast of the US.

The oyster festival on Cape Cod is held in October and is in the next town from DH's home. We also avoid it due to large crowds though I did go once many years ago.
