I'm sorry! Buying a house (or selling for that matter) can be such an unpleasant experience that exposes who is going where in the hereafter. Or (if you're Catholic) who is going to spend some time in the heavenly waiting room thinking about what they did!

I can't believe I forgot to tell you all, my real estate agent called and said, "You aren't going to believe this, but the (people who I bought the house from) want their house back and want to know if you're willing to sell it back." As my friend Bill said, "Sure, for $10million!" Definitely I would need several million over what I paid to compensate for the expense, pain, suffering, hassle, and frustration of fixing all the maintenance items they left me with. New roof, new exterior paint, adding to their inadequate solar, completely redoing irrigation, fixing the floor finish... and that?s not even starting on the upgrades!

Unbelievable. I know you have had to put a lot of very unexpected work into that house due to deferred maintenance by those former owners.

The people who built the home my kids grew up in then sold it to us, moved back a few years later and built a home looking at the back of their old home/our house. I thought that was weird.

I would be absolutely fried if I were you. I hope you have an attorney to help negotiate this?

Greetings all

It's a sunny and slow day here. I say slow because I was slow to get moving and studio buddy was even slower. At least I got some things made but after 4 owls I am tired of it. She is in the mood to clean out our studio which it desperately needs. So I did my part and got rid of recyclable water bottles. I had about 10.

Whats all this house stuff? Bonnie we all wonder why these people do jerky things - like just ignore promises. Something similar happened when I bought this house but then the sellers came around. Wishing you the best. There was one house I decided not to try to but because the seller was too crazy.

And CC, people wanted to buy their house back? How weird is that? Where did they go anyway? Sounds like a big no to me. What sort of electronic tape measure do you have? Not that I want to measure anything.....

Great discussion on all the meds. Excellent info. Much too think about.

Liz rest up. You don't have to snorkel every day. Almond grouper sounds great.

DD tee hee your DH has a crush on Vanna. I like the show and don't know why we don'****ch it. Who is taking over for Pat S?

No clue on diner. Again, exploration into the darkest corners of the freezer.

Cheers Diane S

Yes! They moved to Tucson and apparently didn't like that and want to move back. My real estate agent said she's been doing this forever and thinks some people think the house makes you happy, so they move all the time seeking happiness they never find. These people have moved a lot.

This is the tape measure. It connects via bluetooth to your phone.
