Great time with the kids last night on our sunset sail. I had 3/4 of a pina colada but it was too sweet. My appetite is still very low 5 days after my last injection of tirzepatide so I don't plan to increase the dosage on Thursday.
Our former neighbors in central Massachusetts arrived on Sunday and 2 more friends are arriving today. I am picking them up at the airport mid-afternoon. It is one of the things I like about being here. Obviously there are the beautiful beaches but I love that we have friends here. Some are people we see periodically in other locations but some we just catch up with here. We are all connected via FB though.
The woman who watches Justice sends videos every day of the dogs playing, eating and sleeping. Justice has made good friends with a yorkie whose parents are apparently also in Aruba. One of my favorite videos is in her fenced in backyard and Justice is having the zoomies running around his yorkie friend. Maybe I will put that one on FB.
One last thing! I reached my first major shoulder goal - I put a ponytail in!
Time to get the exercise of the day (water first - it helped a lot yesterday). Have a terrific Tuesday!
LOL - thank you! DH got me a tiara the first time we celebrated my birthday together (age 66).
At this point I am just happy to get it off my neck in 90 degree weather.

The trust call was a brain drainer! So not much done afterwards.
My landscaper texted and asked if I had time to meet today. Why do I feel like I'm in trouble?? I guess it's the cryptic nature of the request.
So that's all I have on my calendar today. I should go walk Kirby. Maybe I'll see if my neighbor wants to join.
Scale was up again a little today. TMI, but may be slow elimination. I threw some Miralax in my coffee, which I haven't taken in years, but I have it in the cupboard for just such an occasion. I've had the Carb Balance tortillas for my lunches this week and they have a whopping 17g of fiber in each one! But more fiber than you're used to can have the opposite effect when not paired with an increase in water. Ah, the mysteries of the colon...
The light i****ting my coffee table just right to show the dog hair, dust, snout smudges, and dog licks. Must go get the glass cleaner and set that to rights!
Take care everyone!
I agree with Miss150 - gut health is critical and especially with the WL drugs we are on. I like to weigh (if possible) first thing in the morning after bathroom time and before drinking/eating. Without clothes of course though if I weigh Friday it will be in my lightest weight bathing suit.
156.4 (pre-poo)
****ly, I don't think you're far off in your reasoning. I've been seeing on and off just how important gut health is to weight management. It's not just the temporary weight you're carrying, but for many of the same reasons the WLMeds work chemically on brain/body functioning, so does it all tie together. After all, isn't the stomach a part of the digestive system?
Dusting is at the bottom of my to do list right below the kitchen floor, and daily (along with the kitchen floor and other things) gets moved to the bottom of the next day's list. Consequently dusting doesn't get done much.
Off to contemplate the to do list. Lucky for me it is way down the list.
goal!!! August 20, 2013 age: 59 High weight: 345 (June, 2011) Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012) Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145

Yeah for the ponytail. Recovery from surgery, illness etc really reminds us not to take the ability to do small and big things for granted. Miss 150, when we have a tribe meet up, I think we all must wear tiaras at one point. CC, I was looking at the miralax last night. My "elimination problems" are a result of upping my vitamins. Specifically, iron seems to be the culprit, or it has in the past.
It didn't rain this morning, and it was a beautiful 80 some degree. I am sitting on the porch after work (dressed to receive visitors, but hopefully none show). It smells incredible. Kind of a perfumed, green smell. But looks like rain is coming. We've hardly had one dry day in the last few weeks.
I'm purging like crazy in my classroom as I pack up for new carpet installation. This will make it much easier to leave the building forever next year. Some files that were languishing had documents from the pre Google days. Before Google and the cloud, during Microsoft office years, you always wanted to have a hard copy of the assignment filed somewhere, lest it get corrupted or the server crashed. That and backing everything up on hard drive at the end of the year. I'm still holding onto my file of thank you notes though.
Well time for dinner, and whatever DH bought at the deli today. :)
Sitting on your porch sounds lovely - especially now that the end of your next to last year is in sight.
Greetings all
Sunny and almost warm today. Scrabble was fun. I won two and lost in a close game to the Shark. He almost always wins. i had multiple 7 letter words though I recognize I had lucky draws. One word I played was "*******" LOL.
Gut health. You know you are getting old when you start paying attention to laxative commercials and back pain pills. Lack of gut health can be miserable as we all know. If you feel good, thank your gut!
Liz I can see why you love Aruba. Such beautiful pristine views. I think the Caribbean is the most beautiful part of the world - but there is a lot I have not seen. Glad you have friends there. I am with you on the drinks. Not for a hot day.
Well Bonnie, if your to do list says take a nap and enjoy iced tea, I am all for it.
DH is home from jury duty but the case is being considered. He is an alternate so he has to stay on call. I hope they get done today so he can spill the beans. Sounds like it was a really contested case.
CC if you just wait an hour the light will change and you will not see the fur and nose prints. I wonder what the landscaper wants to confer about? Sorry for the bird wreck. Not fun to clean up.
Calcium pills = gag. For years I took those big ones but stopped. Pre osteoporosis got me back on them but I now do a chewable. Can no longer do the horse pills. I used to take red rice yeast for cholesterol but stopped for the same reason. Why doesn't someone make smaller pills. I could take 6 if they were smaller. My sleeve gets a big chunker pill and says "WTF is this?". I see those tv ads for balance of nature veggie pills and think why would someone take all those giant horse pills. I would much rather eat broccoli.
Plenty of adult stuff to do but maybe later. Methinks I need a nap after intense mental functioning.
I smelled smoke last night. Our neighbors were burning stuff in their back yard. It is legal here provided you have a permit and conditions are right. Always makes me nervous so I texted them. Learned they are getting ready to move to Oregon. Sorry to see them go.
DH brought home turkey wraps. Yay no cooking.
