Just came back from our long Aruba beach walk. Note to self: drink a lot of water beforehand - I think I got dehydrated.
Thank you for the advice on dosing yesterday. I think I will stay on my current 5 mg of Tirzepatide at least this week.
We had a good meal with the kids last night at our usual first night place. Lots of pizza left over for DH's lunches.
Today I pick up the rental car (at our resort) then go food shopping. No other specific plans.
The beach is beautiful as always. This is where I ate my 2 eggs for breakfast. Very cost effective @ $3. Here was our view from breakfast:
And here is Justice at his "vacation" spot.
What a beautiful view. I'd happily eat eggs there, and I'm not a real big fan of eggs. More of a bacon fan!
Yesterday cleared up, and became a beautiful afternoon and evening. I got quite a lot of flower bed puttering done. I'll plant the rest of what I bought today, and then Monday, after work, go buy some more! What more I need shall be revealed to me by the blank spots in the beds and what is stocked at the nursery. One mystery, my Asiatic lilies are a complete no show. I'm baffled. The bunnies frequently eat the yellow ones to the point they can't bloom, but never the red ones. I don't even see a hint that they started to emerge and were eaten.
I'm sitting on the front porch, my happy little space. While I am having tea, and the other half of my scone I didn't eat yesterday, I've enjoyed seeing a hummingbird, chickadee, robin, and my favorite, a cardinal, visit the bird bath and flowers. Also, some butterflies and dragonflies. And it smells so good! That damp, loamy , soil smell with a hint of petunia fragrance. I must make the most of this, as there are clouds on the horizon, and thunderstorms forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
Weight is steady. Still hoping for more loss this summer, but not stressing. I have an oncology appointment on the 26th. I will discuss with my oncologist whether I'll be stopping tamoxifen at the 5 year mark or not. That would be April 2026. Aside from the Weight issue, I tolerate it well. In that case, she might suggest going past the 5 year mark, and go to 10 years if I can. Not sure how I feel about that. There's seemingly new research everyday about best treatment options for breast cancer. I guess I'll go where the science takes me. I am so, so grateful for Wegovy, so I can have both a more normal weight and cancer fighting meds.

Have a wonderful time!
The picnic was fun yesterday and thankfully the tables were under roofs so at least we weren't in the sun. It was hot. Hotter this week with 102 coming on Thursday.
Other than that, I didn't do much yesterday. Did my nails. That was an Instagram purchase called Sistaco out of Australia. It's really easy to put on (a clear base coat, a powder you rub on, then a clear top coat) and dries under a little LED lamp it comes with. So you don't have to have steady hands to put it on and you won't smudge it because it dries in 2 minutes - my two biggest reasons for not doing my nails!
Not a long to-do list today, which I appreciate. Hope everyone enjoys their day!
I have seen that stuff advertised- let me know how it holds up (and ease of taking it off).
Greetings all
Back to routine on this overcast day. Gallery duty was fun because a lot of people came in. There were a few people who wanted to look at and try on every single ring in a jewelry case. I have to stand right there and wat*****ase someone tries to steal. I don't think that happens often but it does happen. We have had people come in in pairs and it appears one is trying to distract you. But all is well. It's Open Studios weekend so our event committee decided to offer treats. As mentioned yesterday it was way too much stuff and mostly the gallery members eat it since it's by the front desk. Too much fussing IMO. Four of my items were sold including three to some people from Singapore. Elegant worldly people who bought my sculpture of a banana slug that says "Bite Me".
Nothing to offer on the meds dosage discussion except that following directions seems a good option.
DD love your porch description. Birds are so cool. Maybe the lilies are playing hard to get. Bet they show up. How nice to have a porch hidden space.
Hmmm Peps whats up with Molly? Some venues seem to have a creepy factor to dogs. No clue why. Could be a sound they hear that we cannot. Hope it resolves. GL.
I will probably do some studio time today. Kiln opens tomorrow which is such a nice thing to start the week. Also gives structure to my highly unstructured life. Lack of structure is the best thing about retirement. My time, my mind, my plan.
CC glad that lunch turned out to be fun. I am with you, usually dread this stuff but usually am glad I went.
I am not sure why it's so overcast today but it's fine. The foggy time of year is usually late summer when it's really hot inland.
We are in the new season of The Big Door Prize. weird drama about this fortune telling machine that shows up in a town and how everyone reacts. DH likes to watch Dark Matter which I dislike. Too creepy.
Wow Liz, what a view for breakfast!! Love it. Enjoy.
