Greetings all

Another sunny spring day here. The travelers left this morning on the road to Lassen Volcanic National Park. I was there 20 years ago and it's pretty cool. I think they had a good time here. DH brought home Thai food so I was blessed with no cooking. Even getting all the dishes and heating stuff wore me out. Can't imagine how anyone feeds a family all week and deals with the mess.

Stopped in the studio today and did some glazing. It was really a party there today. People having a good time.

Kudos to all on weight loss. Amazing and excellent. I really need to get on the trizepitide train.

Oh no DD, you out shrank your new sweater! A nsv if you ask me.

Interesting Lizanne that you had a super hungry day just before a shot. Makes sense.

Hey Bonnie maybe I will go take the batteries out of our scale! One way to get a good reading (not). One reason I am dawdling on this is that I just don't want to face the scale. Living in denial. Not useful.

June already tomorrow! I have gallery duty in the afternoon.

Remaining Thai food tonight. I have a steak for tomorrow. Lucky me.

Sometimes we just have to call it as we see it; just a metallic POS, and leave it at that.

Nothing much happening here. It's rainy and chilly. It has rained off and on for several weeks. Small windows for yard work. I still haven't planted my bedding plants. At least they are well watered.

No set plans yet, which is very nice. Probably will go for coffee tomorrow. I have several new books. One titled Why We Swim. I've started it, so far very interesting. (Non fiction) One review made me buy it: A love letter to water.

I need to be better hydrated. I currently have a headache, but still don't want to drink. Even diet coke. Like eating protein, it sometimes feels like a chore. It's been this way since my sleeve. Better get to it.

It has been a bit of a hectic week here. Last week of school, dog stuff, Auntie Kathryn's dog had a horrible long (30+ hour labor) and ended up having only one live puppy.... Awful....

After school this morning I rushed home, jumped in the RV and got to the show site for an afternoon ring time only to have Molly be a total cow in the ring. She lost big time.... UGH.... Still trying to get over her behavior. It was really just piggish. Not sure what's up with her - she started with the same thing last weekend, but I was able to pull her out of it. Today, no such luck.

The weight that I was down on Tuesday morning came back with a vengeance. I'm guessing I was dehydrated. I was back up a full four pounds by today. Granted, Tuesday was a "hungry" and carb heavy day.

It's 92 degrees where I am. I'm sequestered in the RV with the AC on. Yes, luckily, it is a dry heat! Much more bearable than the horrible humidity elsewhere in the country.

HAHAHA.... I fell asleep in my chair and never sent this....

I'm so sorry about the puppies. How traumatic for all especially mama.

Sounds like Molly was channeling her cousin Kirby!!

So, so sad for mamma dog and what must have been a harrowing birthing experience (and for anyone present and praying for it to go better).

Just curious, what does barn yard animal behavior displayed in the ring refer to? Silliness or distraction or maybe clumsiness or disobedience or something else? My small experience with dog shows consists of a little television and the yearly pet parade we have at the local Fall Festival where mischief and shenanigans are a given.

Being a "cow" in the ring means that she was distracted and obstinate. She'd look right at me, but hold her ears back, she pulled on the lead going around the ring.... Untrained behavior... brattish...

Tough start to the weekend but school is done, right?

So sorry about the puppies. So sad.
