Good morning!

We have a growing population of coyotes here as well, mostly in the hills, but we're starting to see more down by the water where I am. We have a low fence for our dogs, and we added a "coyote roller" on top, mostly to keep our cat from leaving the yard, but also, just in case, since the fence is fairly low.

I had an appointment with a PA at Henry Meds today, required in order to renew my prescription. I found this interesting: my BMI is down to 21.3 (amazing!), and the PA said that by law, if it goes below 21, they can no longer legally send the meds. So she recommended lowering the dose again and possibly spacing it out longer than 7 days, like 8, 9 or 10 days between doses. I am going to try lowering the dose first because I do find I start to get hungry by the end of the week. She said she has many maintenance patients who do well on a half dose, which is 10 units (in Henry Med terms). I'm currently at 15, down from 20 and will go down to 12 on Friday and see what happens. I do feel that this drug is providing my body something that naturally thin people must produce themselves. My very thin mother, for example, simply could not understand why I was so hungry and had such a strong drive to eat. Anyway, I do feel like they are looking out for me at Henry Meds...

Happy Hump Day,

Lizanne

Interesting that there is a BMI cutoff. My goal weight range runs from a low of 21.3 BMI to a high of 22.1 BMI.

That's great to hear about Henry Meds. My Wegovy is covered by my insurance, and I must say I was very suspicious about compounding pharmacies, but thanks to information I learned here, I no longer am. So much so, we are helping our daughter purchase tirzepatide from a compounding pharmacy. They put this medical intervention in the hands of more people who need it.

OMG, all the high maintenance parents emailed me today. Students have 5 more instructional days and then 2 days of finals. There's not a lot I can do at this point to change outcomes. Sigh.

When I got home from work, DH and I went to the fancy grocery store to grab some things from their deli. It's expensive, but it's also well made and healthy ingredients, with no waste. And so convenient. It feels good to have a stash of healthy, tasty food, for at least for a couple of days. I'm getting a bit weary of frozen pizzas (but don't tell DH, he's trying)

No specific plans for the weekend yet. I'm hoping to do some gardening.

The year is almost done so the "high maintenance parents" will be in the rear view mirror at least for a few months! Seems like parents are getting more and more difficult.
