It's Wednesday! Hump Day for some. Three days until we leave for Aruba - packing has started.

Eating was mixed yesterday - mostly good choices with protein but I was definitely hungry more often (but not for large quantities). My tirzepatide refill should arrive today. However it has to go into the mini-fridge because the main one is acting up and doesn't seem to able to stay cold (it is cool). We have a repairman coming tomorrow. Wouldn't you know I will likely end up with an expensive repair or have to buy a new one just before I sell the house? And of course because we are all leaving for Aruba on Saturday (including DS), it couldn't happen at a worse time.

In the meantime we are going to DH's home today after Justice has his vet checkup. DH has yard work he wants to do and we are meeting friends for dinner (yes, another dinner out - that's my life these days). We return tomorrow morning as I have PT mid-day. PT is going well - I already have gotten increased mobility. I like my therapist. She is giving me a lot of homework to do while I am in Aruba. Some of the exercises aren't too bad and some are really hard but they seem to be working.

Time to get somewhat motivated. Have a warm Wednesday!

I just had my five month check with my Ortho. He is very pleased and was truly tickled that I am actively kayaking again. I need to get end of the month check-ins done with my Guardian ad Litem kiddos. It gets so challenging when they are out of school and scattered around. I am still involved developing the Emergency Preparedness Plan at my church. Sometimes, I feel almost as busy as I did when I was working !

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! Busy is good! Boredom is not.

I'm looking forward to retirement busy instead of employee busy. Maybe it's because we get to practice retirement during summer break, but I can't imagine being bored during retirement. There is so much I want to do!

Roof wires got put back in place, Kirby had his training, I picked up my car (cars ride so nicely with new tires), and did my board call from the car.

I am up 0.2 for the week with the eating out. Grr. It was shaping up to be a good loss week before that!

I got some fun new steel agave sculptures for my front outside entryway and put those together. I just need to put rock around the base. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

3 very healthy coyotes walked just outside my patio wall when I took Kirby out to potty this morning. They were quite large! Maybe one of them took the bird that kamikaze'd itself into the kitchen window. It vanished within an hour and it wasn't because it shook it off and flew away... In more nature news, the mating toads are back screaming/singing for their mates in the fountains at night.

Today is shot day and I have several phone calls to make. But that's all. Kirby needs a walk before it gets too hot for him to walk on asphalt.

Hope everyone has a good day!

We have some healthy looking coyotes here on Cape Cod too. They stroll by DH's house quite nonchalantly in the early evening. That's one reason we are planning on putting a fence around the backyard for the dogs.

Greetings all

Checking in early here since afternoon will be busy. Guests to arrive late afternoon. DH is still at jury duty. It is killing him to not talk about it but he should be released in a few days. House cleaner is here and laundry underway. We have about 8 throws on the big sectional because the dogs are always on it and they are grubby. House cleaner will help me get the fitted sheet back on the guest bed since my gimpy hands don't do it well. Then I will make a quick grocery run for guest snacks and maybe enchiladas to feed guests. They will be going through Avenue of the Giants today which has spectacular redwoods. Redwood overload. There is a little snack stand that sells a half pound hot dog. Never had one but the idea is gross!

Shoulder ladies so glad you are all doing so well! Yay for paddling! Yay for improved motion. (I started to write "both" but realized there are three shoulder ladies right now).

Agreed, boredom is awful. Many years ago when I was making career decisions I decided that doing something boring all day was the worst thing in the world. Repetitive hum drum work was not for me. But having free unstructured time is not boring to me.

It's another sunny windy day. The kinetic sculpture race was won by a big silver dragon operated by a local well known artist.

CC I can't wait to see those sculptures. Love agave shape. Stay cool. When do you go to Michigan?

I need to get organized. If I was organized I would be truly dangerous. Seems like I am always waiting for a better time to do something. Can you spell "procrastination"?

Thanks for the shoulder encouragement. Ocean Diane is my idol!

Measured response or waiting for the optimal time, not procrastination!

It's a good reminder for me. I always say about teaching: I can't say I've never been aggravated, but I can say I've never been bored! Sometimes I could do with a little less excitement though. :)
