I'm getting worried about getting my next shipment of tirzepatide before Saturday when I leave for Aruba. I had my meeting with the Massachusetts person on Wednesday and expected to see a shipment notice by now. I'll have to call again today to press them. Also, I was much more hungry yesterday. Maybe a blip or that I am getting used to this dose (one more week at this level)? I still ate less than without it and didn't crave sweets but still...

Today is a cloudy day but without rain so we will drive to the beach for a long Justice walk, then I might start going through closets to pare out extra clothing and shoes. Or I could start packing for Aruba. Anyway, not much planned other than the 3 of us cooking on the grill for dinner.

I hope you all have a marvelous Memorial Day.

Apparently they don't ship Thursday or Friday so it doesn't sit in a warehouse or truck with the ice packs melting over the weekend. And today is a holiday. So I would bet it ships tomorrow!

A hair more movement in my shoulder and able to sleep last night without it waking me too much. I'll keep doing the Advil.

I don't have any plans today other than doing my treasurer's report. 88 degrees on tap.

We had such a nice lunch yesterday. It lasted 4 hours! They were very sweet about the weight loss compliments. So even if I have felt a bit off track this last week, it was a good reminder that I'm not. I think it might be a good time to retake my measurements.

Aside from that, Kirby and I are just hanging out!

Take care all...

Glad the lunch perked you up! Baby that shoulder but if it lasts more than a couple of days you might want it looked at. You have had 2 injuries now to your shoulder. You don't want to end up like me!

When others comment, you know the loss is for real. Congratulations on getting visibly smaller. Please do follow up on your shoulder if this continues.

Good morning! It's been vacillating between winter and spring here, but today is GORGEOUS. Saturday, my best friend since we were 7 y.o., had us over for a wonderful dinner (celery root salad; buckwheat crepes with ham, cheese, and an egg; poached pears for dessert). She got her sleeve just over a year ago after thinking about it since I got mine almost 17 years ago! She's lost about 80 lbs, 20 or so fewer than she would like. She's a volume eater, not a grazer/snacker like me, so I think she will do well in the long run. I did notice, though, that before semaglutide, I could eat about the same amount as she. Now with the meds, I eat a fair amount less that she does. I know her stomach was made bigger than mine was, so it's been interesting to observe. Not sure what the long term statistics are re stomach size, but I am glad to have the amound of restriction I still have.

I have a meeting with Henry Meds on Wednesday--they wouldn't renew without it. I explained last time that I am trying to figure out a maintenance dose rather than continue to lose, but I think maybe that has gotten lost in the cracks since I am assigned a different PA each time. I would really like to try the oral form of semaglutide (Rybelsus) for maintenance, which Henry Meds provides--but not in California. Haven't heard much about its efficacy yet.

I hope you are all enjoying the day!

All I know about Rebelsus is that you have to take it first thing in the morning with a completely empty stomach, then wait a while until taking other pills or eating. I thought studies said the efficacy was similar as long as your body absorbs it. Just wonder if VSG could affect that?

I have to do this once a week with the Fosamax. Take only with water, wait 30-45 minutes before eating, don't bend over or lie down. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but I get very cranky about not having my chai when I get up, or bending over to tie shoes etc. I don't think I'd like having to do this daily.

Even without the Wegovy, I generally can't eat more than a cup of food, maybe 1.5 cup if it is salad. Without that level of restriction, I feel like my regain would have been much more. I too am glad for the level of restriction I still have 12 years later.

Liz, I hope your medication arrives soon, I know that can cause a lot of stress. I find the restriction confusing sometimes, I've had breakthrough hunger followed by food apathy, all while on the same dose. Overall, eating less, but some days I've definitely had more hunger. And maybe that's not all bad. I don't always meet protein goals (sometimes protein seems so tiresome) so I use hungrier days to eat more protein and veggies.

Rainy and a *****illy here. I have indoor tasks to complete, so not a problem. Sunday evening sure felt nice when it's a 3 day weekend. I will continue to put off thinking about work as long as I can. :)
