Welcome to Memorial weekend! I hope your weather is decent. It was 80 here yesterday and is forecasted to be 70 and sunny here today.
We are at DH's home with his daughter and son-in-law. The dogs have gotten along very well. The only time Justice has been snappish with Brandy is when he is with me and she tries to horn in and get some affection. He is basically jealous LOL. This morning around 5 am, Justice decided he was getting up and sleeping in the other room and Brandy jumped on our bed to sleep between us. Early morning for all.
Early morning in Washington state for my brother's family too. He had sent me a note last night that his daughter-in-law was in labor. Little Shai was born this morning at 4 am west coast time.
Yesterday I had my PT evaluation and was given quite a few exercises to start including the classic one of walking up a wall with my fingers. I also have this silly putty stuff to exercise my fingers. It never occurred to me that my hand has also lost some strength since it was largely unused for 8 weeks. I'm looking forward to getting function back but I will have to be patient as it will be slow. Nothing hurts but my shoulder is tight and stiff.
The tirzepatide was quite effective last night. We went out to dinner and DH suggested sharing an appetizer, salad and entree. I ate 2 medium size meatballs (out of an appetizer of 4), had 1 bite of salad, 1 bite of bolognese and was totally full. DH didn't fini**** either and took a to-go box.
Not sure what is on the agenda today other than a beach walk with both dogs in a few minutes. DH will have to hold Brandy's leash as she is a bit too strong for me with my weak arm (she is about 45 pounds compared to Justice's 11).
Have a sunny Saturday!

Good morning all!
One of my neighbor's daughters is getting married at their house this weekend, so lots of very loud live music coming from what I assume was the rehearsal dinner last night. At least it was nice stuff! I'm guessing more of the same tonight.
Ooh, I am sore from the hike (and probably some from the fall) today. More signs I need more strenuous weight bearing exercise.
I think I am going to take back two pillows I bought with my friend Thursday. They are really nice, but I don't love them and for as much as they cost (finely handwoven Navajo pillows), I should love them. Sometimes I need a friend to nudge me to make purchasing decisions and sometimes I need to listen to my own "not sure" inner voice.
Scale was up again! Back to 200 - waaah. Likely inflammation from the hike given how sore I am. 1.4 to get back off from 2 days of not being in my routine. That is not encouraging me to do things out of my framework... Not sure how you all do it.
Hair appt today, then the painting comes. And I might return those pillows before my appointment.
Otherwise, getting back to my routine!
Take care!
No worries, you?ve experienced under. That truly temporary reading cannot stand long, and as you are on the downside of scale readings, trending down is surely going to resume and soon.

While I know this is likely a simple whim or, more a teaser, compliments of my so called friend-i-not-really, bathroom scale, the "toe is in the water" , and I intend to get all in and swim across over and onto the 4spot on the other side. But, I get way ahead of myself.
Practically speaking, I am inspired to get to the gym (aka yards) and do some resistance training (aka push mowing) .
Liz, Sounds like Brandy is learning to wait on her turn, however, jumping onto your bed serves you notice- you are now the server of two dogs, and responsible for accommodating any wants, whims, and desires of Brandy, as well as Justice. Hop to it, hooman!
****ly, I am that friend accompanying friends shopping specifically as a yes person. My response to the question of purchasing whatever is almost always an enthusiastic, " Do It !". For anyone who is undecided on any purchase, I'm yours! CC, feel free to message me the next time you're ready to acquire the next piece of art, pillows, heck..toiletries, whatever, "do it ".
Liz so good to hear you are not in pain as you begin to rehab your shoulder. I hope that continues. Here's to getting stronger!
We started our morning at our coffee shop. It was warm enough to sit outside in the sun on their little sidewalk patio. When we got home I lizarded a bit in the driveway (the only part of our yard with sun) and I got a little color.
We don't have much for plans for the weekend. We considered kayaking, but it's pretty windy, so we decided maybe white caps for our first outing wasn't ideal. DH is out trimming trees, and the sound of big branchs falling is a little unnerving. He is appropriately cautious, but things can happen.
Tomorrow we have our rescheduled theater tickets from last Sunday. Nothing planned for Monday.
The scale showed me a number today that it has been teasing all week. A small, small drop, it it's a new low.
Painters finished painting our house today, whew! They were outside, of course, but it was still disconcerting suddenly seeing someone unexpectedly in an upstairs window. We last painted 10 years ago, and it cost almost double what we paid then. Yikes! But it's done, and we don't have to think about it again. Though now I have to get the roofers out because I think the roof needs some attention. Never ending, and we are right on the water so we get wind and brackish water.
Today a very large 4 ft sturgeon washed up on our beach. The sea gulls are having a really good dinner!
