160.0 (truly, on the cusp)
Whenever I look back at "the last time I was....", I just wonder why...how clueless...why didn't I do something about the creeping up trend back then...etc? Super ostriching ... It's incredible and mystifying. Like you noted, it has been a long time since I was any where in the '50tys' since June of 2020. Although I surely got on the scales occasionally, I can find no recorded record of weight until 2022! (Must have been a tried and failed attempt to get on planwhich failed because I-Continued to gain until the middle of March this year.)
The silver bullet that these meds is the possibility In maintenance is just as you've noticed-no/less binging or cravings- the stuff of regaining.
Snorkeling in Aruba seems an excellent type of physical therapy to me!
Swanny is feisty enough and would most likely give a sterner message if he felt pestered. At the same time, he would take offense if he wanted to play with another dog who didn't want to participate and gave a warning message- any excuse for a rumble. Consequently- no unsupervised free visits unless or until we know that the relationship is Copacetic.
This free spirit need to put coffee and pad away and let the day truly begin.

Justice will snap too if Brandy doesn't heed his growl. She quickly backs down, sits on her haunches for a bit then repeats the process of trying to get Justice to play. Eventually she gives up when he just snaps or walks away.
Scale still creeping down.
I let the tirzepatide warm up before injecting last night. NO BURN! Yay! I still can't just push in 50 units though. I go pretty slowly. I don't want a fluid bump. I will be going up to the next dose in two weeks.
So, I bit the bullet and bought the new car yesterday. It is funny how research sways outcome. I went in a direction I didn't think I would. Cars, IMO, have gotten way too expensive - even the used cars. It's more practical and even less expensive long term to buy a new vehicle. I had to order new crates to fit this vehicle, but luckily there is a dog supply company that makes mass produced crates to fit side by side in SUVs (niche market, for sure) so the crates were not at all expensive (as crates go). The car salesman offered to buy my 1997 Van. I told him I wasn't selling it until I was absolutely sure the new vehicle will work for dog shows. I am thinking of driving it to Wisconsin this summer. That would be the proof in the pudding! I'll post pics on TT.
Today is my last teaching day of the year. Next week is going to each site and closing down classrooms. The only two remaining dedicated music classrooms in the district are being taken away, so we have to box and inventory those rooms and confirm storage and access for next year. BLECH!
Leaving tonight for shows over the long weekend. I will enjoy the time alone with Molly and Jiffy.
I meant to tell you that I did feel a little jittery (and slightly dizzy when I bent down) yesterday and this morning after having my injection yesterday. I think the timing was similar last week. Seems to subside after that initial period.
Have a great weekend at the shows!
Lost my home base at the end of last year. I'm just a wayward teacher going from school to school without a classroom. But I have a fully loaded backpack and a couple of tote bags that follow me where ever I go!
I actually really enjoy being an itinerant teacher. It's a lovely change from being at one site and being somewhat captive. I can actually go "out" for lunch like a grown up, if I feel like it! 3 days a week my lunch hour includes travel and set up time, so I end up with a 90 minute break on those days! I actually felt guilty about that the first several months. Now, aw... Heck no! I reli****!
Greetings Peeps Peps Pups and Lizzie
Welcome Lizzane, feels like yesterday we met in Concord.
It's slightly overcast but lovely today. I really have to get after this meds thing. Food noise today was an absolute cacophony! Had to make a quick grocery stop and I wanted to eat the entire deli. Not cool. I had previously stopped at the ceramic supply store for a bag of clay. Once again, a reminder of how much 25 pounds is and how much better life would be if I got rid of that. My food noise is carbs but not sweets. Go figure.
DH is at jury duty again. I thought they might quit early on Friday. Since he is in the big city he goes to Costco or Target after court ends. I am hoping he does not start in on the hardware store next...
Yay Peps on the car. Thats a great car. We were considering the electric one. Good shape for crates. And yeah new cars are ridiculously expensive. My first house cost less than the car we just bought and it was far from the most expensive option.
Liz glad to hear you are healing well. Snorkeling could be just what you need. That and warm Caribbean water.
More shrimp and asparagus tonight. I am going to stir fry mine as I prefer it warmed. DH likes it cold.
And yay for dogs. Ours are out basking on the deck. Tesla is sort of a ***** to other dogs. Poppy is playful but slightly timid. Both are on continuous yard patrol for invading varmints. Doing a great job.
