Happy Hump Day!
Like CC, I showed a drop on the scale today, too. Down 29 pounds since starting GLP-1 compounds in late February. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
I really am not a fan of experimenting with dosages of the compounded meds. I don't think it's a wise idea at all. The way the med is stepped up is done for a reason. My hunch is that too frequent dosing could lead to more pancreatic issues and also would be more likely to cause gastro paresis. I think a weekly dose is just fine. I know for me that as I go along days 6 and 7 have less hunger and eating drive each week. I seem to have a bit of mild jitters still on Friday after my tirzepatide injection, but my appetite is much more stable after 3 months on a GLP-1 than it was the first month. I am not finding an uptick in hunger at all today. As a matter of fact, one of my music teacher colleagues brought a dozen donuts for us today. I chose to eat my two hard boiled eggs and save the donut for later. The donut is still wrapped up in my lunch bag. It'll probably end up in Ron's belly when I get home. LOL!
My appetite for lunch this morning was ODD.... What sounded good was sweet cottage cheese with raspberries. So, that's what I made. So breakfast was two hard boiled eggs. Lunch was the cottage cheese with rasberries and a fairlife shake. Not a lot, but very satisfying. Also, had two lindt truffles, which I regretted about 2 minutes later. I didn't feel well after eating two in a row. It passed quickly enough, but I'm finding on tirzepatide that I don't like sweets the way I used to.
Another dog show weekend approaches. Three days in the Sierra foothills. It will be so nice. I like the venue and the location in the mountains. (The Sierra foothills are equivalent to the Appalachian Mountain range in height, so yes it's definitely mountain terrain.)
Poor Jiffy is still limping about. Not sure what to do at this point except take her back to the vet to see if there are next steps for her toe.
Okay, lunch is over and it's time to go sing with 2nd graders!
Congratulations to you too! You have already lost 29 on the tirzepatide (vs semaglutide)? How long have you been on it?
Greetings all
More sun and wind here. Works for me. The dogs are playing outside and life is good. Poor DH is at jury duty and will be for a couple of weeks probably. He can't talk about the case for now but I suspect there will be local newspaper accounts as it is a murder. To be nice to him I stopped at the hippie grocery looking for a chicken pot pie but no luck. Will make do with other deli stuff. And I will let him watch his creepy sci fi shows tonight since he missed his afternoon of Ancient Aliens.
Congrats CC on your milestone. Yay you. And ditto Peps and Liz. Ya'll rocking it. I agree with the comments that it's supremely stupid to experiment with drug doses. One would not do that with heart meds, BP meds or most any other stuff. Why this? It's the stupid factor that makes pharmacy companies have to build in all these mechanisms so that people can't hurt themselves. Child proof caps are a pet peeve of mine though it's actually other kinds of packaging that is difficult.
Gallery membership meeting last night. We have a new president. Keeping this group in line is like herding cats. The meeting dragged on for two hours. A few people always want to hijack the discussion to address their personal issues. One person who makes the hors d' oeuvres for monthly art night was actually trying to take credit for our record sales year. Seriously? Whine whine whine.. And I missed my daily walk since that meeting killed the evening and wore me out.
Good luck at shows Peps. Sounds like a great venue.
Liz enjoy the cool and green on the cape.
Spent some time at the studio today. Wheel throwing classes are underway. Got a couple of things made.
Cheers

I guess you can never underestimate what insane things people will do, but good heavens, reusing needles?!! The one use injection pens for Wegovy do seem wasteful, but they are hard to mess up. Wegovy instructions say you can take your injection in a window of 2 days before your "shot day", or 2 days after. Beyond that, I agree, don't go rouge.
Another day closer to summer break. My classroom is getting new carpet this summer, so I have to pack it up. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to start tossing and purging, so it's easier next year when I wrap it up for good.
Put a few bedding plants into the ground, feels good.

Excellent way to frame it! The pre-purge practice run.
When I knew I was leaving my job, I would take one or two things home a day from my office and throw out a few files every day. It was my secret ritual before I told anyone I was leaving. Felt good especially after a tough day at work!
