The scale was the same today as yesterday. Makes me very happy. Makes me believe the loss is a real one.

Well, I have learned that mini vans are pretty much on the way out.... Makes me sad because for us dog people they are fantastic utilitarian vehicles. The Honda Odyssey is an absolute no go unless I want to build a false floor in two or three removable sections. The Toyota Sienna has a reputation of being gutless, but is near to impossible to find. The Chrysler Pacifica fits the bill, but is getting horrible reliability reviews (specifically transmission issues). The last mini van on the market is the Kia Carnival - a rugged SUV looking mini van, with low MPG ratings. I think I shall rethink my direction. The Chrysler dealer has contacted me twice today to sweeten the deal. Still gotta pass. It's not like I NEED a new vehicle.

Too bad the Metris comes with the Mercedes price tag and repair costs.....

Jus****ched a news item on tv re compounded semaglutide. Stanford doctor sort of bashed them. At least the news did report that the FDA allows compounding when there is a shortage and there is most definitely a shortage. I find it fascinating how reluctant some medical people are to help people access cutting edge science for obesity. I can remember back in the 80s when AZT was pushed through and given to as many AIDS patients as possible. The side effects were awful, but it reduced viral load, so it was okay. Is obesity not also an epidemic with life threatening consequences? Hmmmm..... I am so, so grateful for my compounded tirzepatide!

All my report card grades are done and submitted for all 6 schools. That is a wonderful load to have off my plate! 7 more school days. Whoo hooooo!

I really liked my Pacifica particularly for the seats that folded into the floor. Their hybrid ones don't do that. I probably shouldn't have sold it, but at the time, Fergie had passed away and I couldn't deal with moving two cars to AZ.

I love my Mercedes, but I took it in for "service b" today (it alternates between a and b, basically oil change, filters etc) and I also apparently have 4 bald tires at 36k miles. Total estimate is $2400! Fun to drive and reliable but expensive to maintain.

I guess SUVs have replaced mini-vans? For human moving that works but not for handling large "stuff".
