Nice dinner party last night with our friends. DS was a great chef and all were happy. I filled up on shrimp and scallops with a few carrots/hummus plus a small amount of fabulous risotto. Nice end to the season here. Of course we will have to throw quite a bit away when we leave in 2 days.
I went to 5 mg of Tirzepatide on Thursday and at first didn't think it had much effect but in thinking over the last couple of days I have had a really hard time eating much quantity, especially of dense protein but also don't care much about the other stuff (like bread or pasta). I have also been a bit constipated compared to my usual which is generally the other way. So my digestive system must definitely be slowed down.
This morning is DH's usual Sunday breakfast. I really don't want much but I guess I will get a couple of eggs.
The rest of the day will likely be dedicated to packing and removing decorative stuff from the wall in preparation for having the living room redone after we leave.
Have a sleepy Sunday!

Liz, your migration north is truly at hand- Just a little hurry and scurrying and you're on the way. (I'm sure you're not taking any with you, but) leave behind a sample of your too big for me outfits so you can jump for true pride an joy when they literally fall off you next spring when you return.
Oops, bad timing on my part and need to walk out the door. Posting now lest I loose it--will resume later
Love that you went to check out the Metris! Alas, when I went to copy a link to send you this morning, the exact vehicle I was considering was no longer on the website. This, however, is what I will most likely get: Honda Odyssey
My last minivan was a Honda Odyssey (the last of 3 that I drove over 20 years). We bought it new in 2000 and had it for a long time (my son drove it until it died after I stopped driving it). It was the nicest minivan I had, quite comfortable and very reliable.
So much fun news, potential new rides, new houses, new art, new weight loss, returning to favorite activities, visits from adorable puppies, grown into beautiful dogs.
I'm worn out from yesterday's fun. DH is an ardent fan of airshows, but I've been firmly that's your thing honey, go, enjoy! This show, He decide at the last minute to go by himself, as all his air show buddies were not available. So I volunteered. It had some of the elements that had kept me away in the past, long lines to get on shuttle buses to and from the parking, noise, subpar food at ridiculous prices, but the really nice weather, made it tolerable. The actual show did provide some thrills. Still not my thing, but he was so happy I came along, I'd go to another one.
The best part though, was our conversations. His Dad was a fighter jet pilot and retired when DH was 10, so air force bases are his earliest memories. I know lots and lots of the stories, how my FILs canopy flew off over the sea of Japan and he had to decide whether to eject or not ( he decided not to, and was able to land), or how when there was a cra**** spread through the base like wildfire, and pilots rushed to whatever phone they could get to call their wives, and there would be one wife, waiting and waiting. He saw the base commander go to houses in his neighborhood to tell his friends their Dad had died. But sitting there all day, I heard little stories tha****ching/hearing the jets brought to mind. All these maneuvers, he told me, his Dad could do. When his Dad was alive, airshows were one of the things they did together. My husband never "served", but once when he took the MMPI for a job, the evaluator asked if he had a military background. So to know DH, you have to know about those early years. We've visited a number of the bases he lived on (still need to make it to Japan!), but yesterday he got to " show" me a lot bit more of who he is. And that is a wonderful gift for both of us.
We were supposed to see a play tonight, but we just switched them to next Sunday. After spending all day away yesterday, I need to get myself in order for the coming week. I'm being pulled from my classroom Thursday and Friday to work on a project for transitioning next year's incoming freshmen. 3 more weeks. Kids are done June 7. We have to come back on Monday, June 10 for workshop day. Boo!! But the end is in sight!!!
What a gift to have those conversations with DH. The shuttle busses were well worth having that time together.
