Just a quick post. We left the house at 7:30am for the airshow, and just got home at 9:35 pm. Luckily the weather was perfect, so I was quite content sitting in the sun, with a very pleasing breeze. Food was a disaster, but that's kind of what I expected. The good news, while what I ate, a corn dog, and a couple mini donuts , was junk, it didn't lead me to crave anything more. A glass of Fair life milk sounds real good right now!
Well, it is celebration day on the weight loss front. A dog show friend asked if I was losing weight and told me I looked really good. That is the first person to mention to me about my weight loss other than Ron and my trainer (who, of course, are "in the know").
Because I am a crazy person, I took off last night for a weekend show with Molly. She did well. She won the breed and went on to win a group 2 in the owner handled category.
I'm also in the throes of obsession looking at new vehicles. I get the itch about every 5 years or so. Sometimes I hold off. Sometimes I don't. Last car I kept until it had 100K on it and started needing repairs. I had it over 8 years. This time, well.... it's more about convenience for carting dogs. I do not NEED a new car. I need to talk myself out of a Mercedes Benz Metris van conversion. It's super cool, but gets not so good gas mileage. Since whatever I get is going to be my drive around town car, too, I would like it to have somewhat decent gas mileage for a large vehicle. Ah, the woes of a First World Citizen. It is amazing to me how privileged my life truly is! I remember the days I used to count and double count the cash in my rent envelope during the month as the tips came in.
Sounds like everyone was having a fun-ish Saturday. Congrats on the continued healing Ocean and Liz. Hope the air show was all DH hoped for, DD. Cece, decorate on! Diane S.... puppy parties are the best!
Had to check out the car you're lusting after (if only in your dreams)
Holy Cow, Devon!!!

Yah, right --- absolutely a Must have ride, AND I know for sure that the dogs would appreciate the HDTV/Blu ray Disc Player!
(all kidding aside, this is a very lovely piece of traveling bling on wheels.)
Congratulations on noticeable weight loss! New car shopping is fun/nerve-wracking. We may get a car in the fall. This one is a 2 door with low seats. Time to get something easier to get in and out of.
