Liz, I've always associated blisters an indication of allergic reaction to medication. A number of years ago Kurt (at my suggestion) took a prescription (mine) pain pill and soon after developed awful blisters all around his ankles, sending him to the doctor, who jokingly (I hope) suggested I had tried to poison him. I so hope you a doctor can figure a way to take (this is?) the only medication you can to deal with your BP and avoid such a painful side effect.

House hunting, while unsuccessful, was entertaining. The property, about an acre and a half, in town, was drop dead beautifully fenced and landscaped with a ready to go garden for Kurt and definitely Swann approved. I knew in advance that square footage was too much, but being zoned H/C, was hoping to re- purpose one of the several large living spaces downstairs, so that we could just blow off the whole of the upstairs save for storage. Alas and alack, no go. Everything I wanted, but no room to create a primary bedroom downstairs.

Off to the Pink Room (every house needs a pink room) aka sewing room to mend a pair of vintage overalls genuinely worn and frayed ad ripped by use on and off for three decades and more. They were passed to me from FIL for scrap and just for fun I mended them. I wore them some after WLS, and again after wl-regain #1 and now again repairing as needed.

Winning Wednesday it is!

Whimsical Wednesday to all!

It is the official Teacher Appreciation Day at my Wednesday school. We had a nice breakfast waiting for us. I had some bacon and cheese quiche. I haven't lost anything this week, so I was in a mood to begin with. So, I ate. I did not over eat, but what I ate was unplanned. That is not always such a good thing for me. Oh well.... certainly not the first time, and most likely not the last time I make such a choice.

Got yet another confirmation from the doctor at Orderly making sure I was on board with the prescribed dose. I kind of like how conscientious Orderly is. Tomorrow I will dose up with semaglutide, and make the switch when I come back from NYC next week.

Must go teach.

Toodles!

Greetings all

It's a great sunny day here though I think some rain is predicted. Just washed my hair and am air drying. I have a lovely view of birch trees and green back yard as I sit at my desk. Must go find some bedding plants.

CC your yard discussion made me flash back to that movie Caddyshack where Bill Murray goes around blowing up all the gopher tunnels! LOL hope that is not what they do. Hoping there is success in getting rid of the critters. Not exactly an endangered species. We got rid of the back yard gophers by having terriers but not the front yard. Our neighborhood is a huge gopher colony.

Blisters Liz!! Gotta do something about that! Is there a different BP med? I took one once that made me cough all the time. Oozing blisters sounds like a really bad thing. Stay well.

My brother is having a lot of headaches. Not sure if it is related to the rare disease he has. But he is going to see a neurologist that specializes in headaches. Southern CA has a lot of issues but at least they have doctors.

Peps wishing you the best on your trip. Nice that the school had a decent breakfast and not just donuts.

We watched the last episode of Peaky Blinders last night. Stunning drama. After that we watched Loot which is hilarious and silly. Apple TV. There is a new series "A Man in Full" that I want to see. I read the book many years ago and would like to see what they do with it.

Bonnie I am with you on a two story house - abandon the upstairs and live on the main floor. Too bad that one would not work. Looking at houses is fun - all the weird stuff people have. Once I saw a house with an enormous collection of Precious Moments figures. They were like larva coming out of every surface. Hope you find something soon.

I really need to get organized on meals and grocery shopping. Meal planning is not easy. Used to be that mac and cheese was a standby and I always had a brick of Velveta around. Not cool any more. I like vegetables but get weary of cutting and washing with my gimpy fingers. Guess I can go to safeway and get the ones that are cut up.. Maybe tomorrow blah blah blah

Definitely get the pre chopped vegetables whenever you want! So worth it, because 1. You have less waste 2. You will actually eat vegetables.

Now I must follow my own advice. Need more vegetables.
