Greetings all

It's a bright sunny day here but boy is it windy. White caps all over Humboldt Bay which is unusual I got trashed at Scrabble again, losing all three games. The person I usually used to beat has really improved. Methinks I need a handicap. Then we all proceeded to talk about our aches and pains. Two confessed to keeping a supply of oxycontin for end of life options. One has a sister with MS who has been bedridden for 20 years. Depressing thoughts.

Another sad event was that in my college alumni magazine I saw that a friend had died. We had been pretty close but lost touch after a few years. I always meant to look her up but never did. Reading the death notice I discovered that she lived in North Central CA only a couple hours drive away!

DH is fixing the kitchen drawers . The kind that are in a cupboard but have drawers within. The bottom sort of fell out of one - likely because we had too much stuff in it. Major brace now.

Bonnie I don't blame you for not wanting to leave your home. I don't envy anyone house shopping these days. Its scary.

DD I am so hopeful that there is good news from your union team and that a good result is reached. Too bad it took it this long.

Good to hear from you Ann. Stay in touch. Loved the Derby pictures.

We are down to the last Peaky Blinders episode. I just could not stay up to watch it last night.

No clue whats for dinner. Time for freezer exploration.

Both dogs are basking in the sun on the deck. Peps hope that puppy toe heals fast.

I am planning on a "free" chicken dinner from Starbirds tonight. I am eligible for a free meal with school ID every day this week. I figure I should take advantage, right? I am thinking of a Thai Chicken salad. Yum!

I am very impressed with Orderly Meds. It's proving to be a very good service. Text messages from the doctor assigned to my case wanting me to send pics of my current vial of medicine. I'm on a 1mg dose of Wegovy/Ozempic/Semaglutide. He converted that dose into a tirzepatide dose. So instead of starting on the low dose of tirzepatide, I will start at a 50 units (5 mg) dose. That makes me happy. I am able to go all the way up to a 15mg dose for the same cost.

DD, I felt like you yesterday. We had a spread of bagels at school. I had a half a bagel and was satisfied - though it did feel indulgent, just the same.

Not much else going on.... Jiffy is now in the cone of shame since she decided to attack her splint wrap last night. I had so hoped she wouldn't, but alas.... Cone of shame and tranquilizers. LOL!
