Agreed! We went to dinner last night with my BFF. I had eaten a late lunch and had no appetite even as late as we went to dinner. I managed to eat 1/2 a taco and a few bites of rice and beans. But I really could have just done without. I pretty much had to convince myself to eat, reminding myself I needed the additional calories for the day.

Yet, there are times when I am un-fed that crap food is VERY appealing, but luckily easier to resist.

Don't know why you're not, but I'm excited as heck thinking of you, Ron, and magnificent dogglett, Blitz at such a prestigious show. Big fan, here- will your events be broadcast in some way- love to see you in action.

Glad to hear report of positive scale action.

I am so tired and a bit hungover. The company at dinner and after was great and too many glasses of wine were consumed. I am looking forward to not having any this week.

The weather was perfect all weekend for the festivities: Sunny, mid-80s, and breezy.

We have a 2 hour drive back home with one other guest who is leaving from the airport near us tomorrow morning. We are alone tomorrow night, then have a couple visiting for 3 nights. One more night alone then we pick up DS to stay with us for our last 10 days in Florida. Feels like a revolving door.

Other than wine calories my food consumption was low this weekend. I really didn't want much. This morning I could barely eat my veggie omelette.

I am looking forward to picking up Justice from his doggy resort. He seems to like it there but is always happy to be home. Have a super Sunday!

How has your shoulder held up with all this activity? You do have a jam packed schedule! Entertaining appears to be your new job :)

It sure feels like we are in the entertaining business! My shoulder feels fine - I am 6.5 weeks postop and feel like I really don't need the sling full time but I am sticking with my surgeon's rules. I did use a lower profile mesh sling during the evenings out (my usual one has a big pillow under it, a strap around my other shoulder, and one around my waist).

I'm with you! Liz's schedule would kill me! It's a very different kind of busy than I am used to. I think I would be constantly exhausted. Hats off to you, Liz!

The tracking has begun! I dropped a bandanna about a half a mile from home, now we wait for her to find me. Should be interesting as it's really windy!

Poor Pez was thwarted by the scenario and didn't find me. Her mom said it could have been the strong winds, but also she is much stronger on trails than on urban surfaces like our road. She said she should have shortened the distance given the more difficult cir****tances. We'll try again!

Greetings all

What a difference a day makes! It's sunny and calm. Great after a cold rainy day yesterday when I needed three layers. Today is almost a T shirt day. Well, a long sleeved one anyway. I see a few threatening clouds but will ignore them.

CC how fun to be a search and rescue dog's "victim". Years ago I used to do lots of dog tracking. My old dog Tiger earned an AKC tracking title. I also used to help with the tests. It's a fun dog activity and involves outdoor exercise but can be done mostly solitary. Look up AKC Tracking Dog. A great thing to do with a young pup. Years ago I wrote an article about Tiger's experience but no clue where to find it.

Not sure whats up today. I feel a strong urge to get tacos but likely will not. Studio time is always an option.

I am wondering if anyone has ever put together a book on all the science of weight gain/loss. There is so much misinformation and pop culture associated with these issues. I wish there was such a book full of footnotes to studies. But Bonnie is right about clothing being the true measure and not the electronic box in the bathroom.

Grocery run needed. List under construction to avoid impulse purchasing. CC the ricotta burger bake sounds great. I have wondered about mixing other stuff in to that recipe. But I don't think I will go so far as to make homemade ricotta even though it looks easy. Yeah what is all that gum and goo they put in those products? Maybe I will try ground chicken in the ricotta if I can find some.

Liz you party animal! Sounds like great times. Gosh is it really 6 weeks since your surgery? Seems like yesterday.

Peps enjoy retirement place shopping. Never hurts to look. Years ago when we were planning on moving out here I subscribed to a local weekly newspaper. It really helped familiarize us with the place and happenings. If you get serious about some location I suggest doing that.

We are now starting season 6 of Peaky Blinders. Last season. We are addicted even though it is violent and super macho.

DD glad you are having a relaxing day watching the birds eat the grass seed. Love seeing birds. Must get a feeder like CC has. We had an egret on the shed roof yesterday!!

Cheers. Diane S
