I was thinking about CC's graph. I know my lifetime graph would be similar, though the peaks would have gotten higher every time until the absolute highest before VSG. Now the peaks are lower than they probably have been since I was in my 30s. Yesterday I recalled the first time I went to WW - I must have been around 40. My goal weight was 3 pounds higher than I am now (because I was an inch taller so normal was a bit higher). I felt so thin at goal weight then. I don't feel terrible now, but the knees are still aching, though they are aching a bit less.

I am already finding it hard to deal with all the going out to eat with DH's family here. The snacks in the house aren't enticing me but finding something on a menu is tough. I have been eating a LOT of shrimp. Usually I can handle peel and eat shrimp with my one functioning hand, but last night they weren't prepped right and I just couldn't do it. So frustrating.

Today we are going out on a boat which is making me very nervous because I absolutely don't want to be bumping around. DH says he can keep it slow and avoid hitting wakes hard. I sure hope so. Lunch at a tiki bar where we dock the boat so I see peel and eat shrimp in my near future again. But then we are going Italian tonight. What the heck will I get? I need to prep by looking at the menu in advance. I think I would be happier eating CC's chicken salad which sounds yummy btw.

Time to get ready for the daily walk. Have a super Saturday!

Welcome home, Miss Bonnie ! CC, loved your charts ! I can confirm the pattern! Acorn mom resonated with me too. I can remember food restricted in elementary school, and Weigh****chers in 7th grade, at 150 pounds. When my mother switched me from a pediatrician to an internist at 14, he fat shamed me big time, declaring me to be obese at 155 and 5'5". He prescribed stimulants. Obese became such a harsh, ugly word to me, rather than a category on a BMI chart. Little did I know I would one day be classified morbidly obese.

Fridays has me on 10 units of Semaglutide for the first two months. (I had lost 20 pounds in three weeks at 15 units, back in December when I was constantly weak with dry heaves.) This time, I lost 5 pounds the first week and four the second. The third week I stayed the same, and I started the fourth week Thursday.

Heading out with Sadie soon. We do our walk early in the day because it is Copperhead and alligator mating season and they are much more active as the day heats up.

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! (Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!

This 2nd dosage schedule does sound much more sustainable. Dry heaves daily, that's misery! A sustainable rate of Weight loss probably always involves some stalls, and some upticks, but trends downward over time. I hope you are feeling well, both physically and emotionally on your new regime.

Liz, sometimes Italian restaurants have meatballs as an appetizer. Filling and protein forward...

The scale was down a slight 0.2, but I'll take it!

DianeO, snakes and alligators! We definitely have the snakes, but I think I would take flight and not touch the ground if I encountered an alligator on a walk.

We've had a good bit of rain here for AZ in late April! Over half an inch this week. Raining still today with a high of 60. I'm soaking it up.

Kirby and I need to practice today both getting in the car and walking with his pinch collar. After all the success yesterday during training, he napped for hours then ate my Apple pencil and tore a plant up during late night zoomies. Sigh. He's still very much a puppy.

I texted with Shirley yesterday. She's had a lot of stressful stuff going on! I'm sure she would feel loved if you said hi on FB Messenger.

Today I am going to pick up a painting I am buying for one of my guest rooms that will have brighter colors than the rest of my house. It's a happy one! And best of all, big at 40"sq. These are big walls and all my existing artwork is small.

I should go find a protein shake... Take care all! So glad you are all in my life!

I love the allusion of the birds frolicking in flight down at the bottom center left of the painting. Such a happy pallet. Acrylic?

Yes! Love the bird. It's called "All the Worlds are Contained in the Eye of a Swallow". And yes on the acrylic.

This shows some of her process on this on this one:

I'm going to her studio to get it, so it should be interesting to see!

Greetings all

It's overcast again today but calm. Leaving in a little while for this art gallery event which I do not relish. But I made some cheese crisps and will hopefully find some fun. I am embarrassed because I don't have enough art items for the event which is why I did not want to do it in the first place. Whine Whine Whine.

CC you were wise to keep those weight charts as we can all learn from them. I wish scientists would collect such charts from a lot of people and see what is to be learned. It's pretty clear that traditional dieting causes weight gain longer term. More whining.

We watched our football team play in the spring game scrimmage. It was pretty fun. There is a new recruit quarterback who is quite good plus the newer coach is a likable guy.

Liz what a challenge to have to eat out so much. Never thought about peeling shrimp but that would be a challenge. Does the Italian restaurant have antipasto which is sort of charcuterie. Or maybe soup. I would skip that boat ride rather than risk bumping but I know it's hard to stay away. Hope the day goes well.

We started watching the Ben Franklin series last night. It's kind of ho hum but does get me looking up history on the iPad while I watch. Hope it improves because I think DH will want to watch it all.

Yikes what awful tornadoes there were yesterday! My niece is fine in Nebraska but they held her school until 5;45 rather than send kids home in the midst of it.

Ocean Diane I did not realize you had issues with your early doses. No fun. Glad you are feeling better and having success.

Terriers Bonnie 150! Ours rule the house and are responsible for the fact that we don't entertain much. And they really need some serious grooming.

CC hoping Kirby accepts the car soon. I bet he does once he realizes it results in going to a fun place.

So Cal Poly Humboldt is closed down now until May 10. Such a tragedy. And these are students who didn't get a high school graduation in 2020 due to covid. Admin was proposing a sort of amnesty to the students if they came out of the occupied buildings by 4 pm. After that, arrests. Not looking forward to aftermath of all this.

Thats about it. I guess I will do my walking before I go to this event. Diane S

I lost interest in Franklin. It's basically Michael Douglas playing Michael Douglas, and the story is not all that interesting and hard to follow. But that's all based on the first episode!
