Plans for my 60th b'day celebration at Disney's Pride Night have finally solidified. Whoo hooo.... I had to refer to my BFF as a Corretta Kill Joy (long story, but his last name is King...) and remind him that this trip was for MY birthday. He apologized for being so difficult. So, now I get my b'day celebration the way I want it! Yay! Summer travel plans are now almost complete! Possibly one trip to Wisconsin for dog shows in late July. We shall see....
Weight was down a few tenths of a pound today. As long as there is a continued gradual trend downward, I am a happy, happy camper. I have NEVER, EVER lost weight with this little mental effort. It's just wonderful. I am beginning to feel like semaglutide is indeed that magic "pill" I've been waiting for.
I thought about what you all said about my bro's T2 diabetes and the Mounjaro. There may be something there. And I do believe he is not as motivated as I am when it comes to actual weight loss. He confessed that he is enjoying the lessened appetite, though.
Another gorgeous day here. Should reach about 80 today. More clear skies and the slightest breeze. Absolutely delightful!
Update on eating healthy in Disney: No breakfast because the others had pastry and it didn't even appeal. Nothing else available near us. For lunch, the stand we went to only had hot dogs. I ate 3/4 of one and was done, but geez I would have preferred something like a chicken Caesar salad. Dinner reservation is at a Mexican place. At least the guacamole will be healthy.
Boy, I am so burned out on Special Ed paperwork. Will this year ever end?? Yes, on June 10. Unless we strike in May. Then, who knows.
I'm hanging on to my little drop in weight. From here on out I don't expect much movement on the scale. My neck breaking pace of 3 pounds a month loss is probably about a pound a month now. So maybe I'll lose another 5 pounds by the end of the year. But as I've said before, my goal wasn't to get skinny. I am feeling the positive effects of Weight loss, and I'm happy.
I think you have done a fantastic job of getting as healthy as you should be - and isn't that really the point?
Greetings
