Excellent start to your day: Congratulations! And an early start to the weekend for you too.
The Spring Fling last night was so much fun. The Beach Club looked beautiful with tables set everywhere with pretty linens and flowers on every table. The food and drink selections were amazing. So glad we went!
And I lost 4.2 pounds my first week on tirzrpatide! Yesterday I noticed the effects of it way more than after the first injection. I had to make myself eat more - I enjoyed what I had but wanted to stop almost too soon as it was protein that I needed (shrimp at lunch, lobster at dinner).
We are a bit slow this morning after last night's festivities. We were home before 10 but stayed up talking until midnight. But we did do our 3.5 mile walk.
Today we are meeting Cape Cod friends for lunch. They go back north at the end of April.
That's about it on this end. Have a finagled Friday!
Yay for leisurely mornings! I would have enjoyed one today! Jiffy was unsettled last night. She "talked" a lot. I got up 3 times to let her out. Only once did she actually need to use the bathroom. UGH....
Liz, YAY!!!!!! So happy for you and the loss on your first week. Just think you have lost 20% of what you want to lose in just one week with minimal effort. Diamond D is correct, it is so wonderful to have this scientific break through after all these years.
I upped to my long term maintenance dose last night. Interestingly, the dose prescribed by Henrymeds for long term use seems to be half of what Wegovy recommends as a maintenance dose. I'm going to have to see how this dose works long term. There is an option to use an increased dose, but it's an extra cost each month.
I'm up a pound from my low on Monday. I am absolutely fine with that. I'm down 22 lbs in eight weeks. Hoping for a few more off before Westminster (you know, to be camera thin! ) I have already met my first weight loss goal. Now on to my second, which is to be the same weight as on my driver's license (which was issued 4 years ago). I have only 4 more pounds to make that goal.
Cheers to new puppies, leisurely lattes, beach parties, and fancy new cars!

Argh! I lost my post! My fault this time...
Hooray for Liz! my first week went similarly. I couldn't tell what was the drug and what was placebo, but it was a great week loss wise.
The scale was down another 0.4 for me today. But I think dehydration has something to do with it. This drug really sets me up for being dehydrated. And yesterday I tried to drink a lot and even had electrolytes in my water at the end of the day. But I woke up with another headache. I wonder since this affects blood sugar/insulin and consequently how we store glucose, and glucose is always stored in cells with water which ends up being our water weight, if this means we're not storing as much water? I know just enough of the science to be dangerous!
Aside from a visit from the bug guy, I don't have plans. Maybe I'll go check out some plants for my pots, but it's supposed to be hot this weekend and cooler next week so it might make sense to wait?
I feel like in my last post I had more words of wisdom, but I can't remember what I said! I will sign off, and post again if I think of something interesting.
Take care everyone!

Oh! Two things I remembered. Apparently the FDA only allows drugs to be compounded that are in shortage if they are not appreciably changed from the namebrand version. I wonder if that means at some point compounded versions of Wegovy and Zepbound won't be available? I'm sure that day will be a long way off as the shortages and demand show no sign of abating.
Speaking of shortages, Costco is out of stock of my 5mg. I have one more pen and just took my current shot Wednesday. And I still have compound left. So it's not time to worry yet, but I can see this being an ongoing anxiety producer.
Greetings all
Another spectacular day here. Anyone who has not seen the redwoods should plan on doing it. Everyone is invited for my personal tour.
So auto logistics today. Getting the car of a friend who will arrive soon. We will pick her up in a couple of hours and get her to her car. DH is gleefully watching his airplane tracker app so we will know her progress and exactly when the plane lands.
WTF someone just set himself on fire in front of the Manhattan court house!!!!
DD I hope you get a good mammogram technician with warm hands and does not overdo the pressure. Enjoy the rest of the day and do something fun.
Liz that club party looked really fun. Beautiful place. Very beachy vibe.
Yes Peps hope you get some new duds for westminster. How is Blitz's coat doing? Do they televise the owner handled groups?
I have many chores to do today but will be lucky to check a few off. Mount Laundry has reached new heights and there is always junk to pick up. Got the insurance paid on the cars. Now we have to figure out what to do with the old one. It is running now. Mainly just takes up space in the street.
CC I would wait on the plants. Nothing worse for bedding plants than a hot car.
DH is off to lunch at a new restaurant called "Joes Big Green Barn". It's an old restaurant now painted green and it has always been barn-like. His crown has come off a couple more times so he keeps gluing it back on. Hoping they have some soups.
Cheers. Diane S

And the other thing I forgot! I made tuna, Costco has solid white canned tuna in the sizes of canned that used to be the norm, and I put relish and mayo in it like normal, but I also added a scoop of cottage cheese. You don't taste the cottage cheese at all, but it makes it creamier/more moist and bumps up the protein even further. Just a tip for getting in your protein! I hate dry tuna.
I was going to buy some tuna last time I was st Costco, but I forgot. Must remember. Their albacore tuna is quite tasty.
They squeezed me a lot at the mammogram, but that's okay, I want the best pictures possible. I really appreciate the Breast Health Clinic I use. They were so compassionate when I was diagnosed. Also, super quick results. They arrived at my My Chart while I was shopping. All is good for another year!
I didn't find anything I even wanted to try on, or should I say, anything in my price range I wanted to try on. There's always things in Chicos I would gladly have, but I'm not in the market for $200 jeans, even if they have really pretty beading. I did try on shoes, but didn't buy any. Still worth the trip, because I'm not wondering anymore what's out there that I NEED. Speaking of need, we need Dillards up north. I miss shopping at Florida stores when I would visit my parents.
It's 37 degrees here today, and it's been spitting pellet type snow off and on. Well I don't have to worry about fixing the chip in my pedicure, or deciding what lovely summer frock to wear to the play tonight.
