Sounds like it is time to use my trial access to Apple TV+ to watch Palm Royale based on everyone's comments!

I hardly ate yesterday either (day 2 of tirzepatide). Placebo effect or not? I did enjoy what I ate, but just didn't need more. No side-effects.

We went to Happy Hour last night (so I did have wine). Enjoyable time though I had to explain why I had the massive sling to everyone. I have noticed that it makes people want to comment on it even if they don't know me.

I hadn't seen most of the people for about a month. I found out that a friend's husband who had lost 50 pounds on semaglutide ended up with a bowel obstruction a few weeks ago. The articles I found on Google (and that CC had posted) indicate that this is a rare occurrence but it sure is a scary one. His wife said to beware of extended days of constipation and see a doctor sooner rather than later. She felt that her husband's situation could have been avoided if her husband hadn't let the constipation go on so long.

It was 55 here when we got up (cold for me these days), but it has warmed up to 60. Time to get outside. Have a special Saturday!

If you do get Apple+ and haven't seen it yet, Ted Lasso is fantastic!

I have had a couple of prior trials and watched it then. The second trial I timed so all the last season was available. I loved that show too- great story and acting.

More weather perfection here. I'm soaking it up because hotter weather ahead.

Today I have a hair appointment which was rescheduled so I REALLY need it.

The stall continues. Up 0.2 today. Grr.

Aside from all that, nothing to report...

Have a great day! PS - congrats on all the wins, Peps! Sounds like a really big deal!

78 degrees right now, with a cloudy haze. I bet it would be 80 or more if the sun was full strength.

We slept in, then slowly got ourselves to our coffee shop, and the required visit to St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store. DH is on a kick of buying nice wooden hangers for the coat closet. I always check out the special book nook, where one of the volunteers curates the books that are more current. Its where I got my copy of a Gentleman in Moscow, books like that. We went to work out, then rug shopping for a new rug for the foyer. We'll see if it works. Then to Chik Fil A for grilled chicken nuggets, 130 calories and 25 grams of protein! I don't know what they marinate those grilled nuggets in, but it is one form of chicken I can eat.

Now I need to rearrange things in the foyer to switch rugs, and sweep, oh my goodness! The current rug is too big to pick up and shake, and vacuuming just doesn't do it. We bought a smaller rug then the one we have, which I always thought was too big, but useful in a Minnesota winter. Hope I like it.

Greetings all

Overcast and sprinkly here today. We decided to go look at a car - Nissan Ariya. It's an all electric SUV. Super cool car. Drives well and lots of things better than the Chevy blazer. We are pretty close to buying it. I think DH would have signed but I wanted to consider their lease terms. Got all kinds of annoying run around from the sales rep that wastes lots of time like filling out our names and contacts three times on different papers. We will see. Simple sleek design. For some reason the sales rep thought we wanted to listen to country music and kept telling us how to find Johnny Cash on the sirius radio. Go figure.

Yep bowel obstruction, gastric paralysis and thyroid tumors were the main side effects of new drugs that I saw. Not common.

DD you guys did a lot today! Hope the new rug is a good fit.

Liz that sling picture you showed us does indeed look like a complex device. Bet you can't wait to get rid of it.

Yep Apple TV has good stuff. Though we have been watching "manhunt" about chasing John Wilkes Booth and it's not my favorite. Also Elsbeth is funny. And Ghosts.

Hmmm just burnt some hamburger I was cooking for the dogs. Smoke detector did not go off.

More pot pie tonight.

Cheers. Diane S

Oops! Got distracted by the day and forgot to submit, so now it's close to 7 pm.....

Blitz, Molly, Jiffy and I are holed up in the RV. It is raining hard and steadily this morning. I don't show until almost 3 pm, so it's nice to have a free morning. My dogs have done very well this weekend. Molly has won breed two days in a row, which is fantastic on a specialty weekend. (Today, she won NOTHING..... Another day, another dog show....)

Liz, so glad you are not having any ill effects from the med! I took my shot Thursday night after all. I think my body has gotten used to the med and is no longer reacting with the gastric upsets. My appetite was really small yesterday. I ate very little during the day and then only had a small dinner at the club banquet. However, I did have a piece of strawberry cream cake, which was absolutely divine!

I do LOVE the reduction of food noise. I think more than anything that the lessening of "noise" indicates that we are truly different from people who do not struggle with weight and obesity. If we did not have a hormonal imbalance/deficiency why would a medication that is a hormone replacement make such a significant difference?

BTW, I take my shot on Thursday nights. Saturday and Sunday are my absolute easiest days. Saturdays I can literally not eat all day long and feel completely fine. I do make myself eat, but I don't feel the need.

My RV neighbor at the dog show ran into my RV awning while parking his RV on Wednesday night, smashing the awning into the passenger side window. The window shattered, the frame is bent and looks like the awning arm track is messed up. Aye, yi, yi! can't catch a break with my RVs! At least the repairs won't be on my dime!

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.... I would like the rain to stop soon. (Update, it is still raining. It rained ALL DAY LONG!)

Sorry you had such a yucky weather day! And that you will need to repair the RV.
