We didn't see anything with the eclipse yesterday - no noticeable diminishing of light, though I guess with glasses we could have seen it looking at the sun. DS said the light did actually dim on Cape Cod.

i finally found movers for the small amount of stuff I am moving from Massachusetts to Florida. It took 3 quotes to get it down where it seemed manageable. Of course that was after being shocked by the first 2 quotes and researching alternatives such as driving the stuff in a one-way rental and finding out how ridiculous that cost was going to be ($2000 and up for a one-way truck rental). So my stuff will be picked up this weekend and delivered by the end of April.

Happy Birthday to DD's DH! I hope you are able to do at least a little celebration for DH's sake and because DD sounded really down about work...

Today it is muggy after a week of gorgeous, low-humidity days. Probably going to be a beach day.

I can't wait until my tirzepatide arrives. I struggled with hunger all day yesterday. And 2 dresses I am trying for my DD's wedding arrived. I am planning on buying one a bit tight (am I crazy?). I love this style and color in pictures and on the hanger so I didn't want to miss the chance to grab it. Again, am I crazy?

Justice has been patiently awaiting his walk. Time to get moving. Have a thoughtful Tuesday.

Hey Peps: Do you meds come from HCP Fulfillment via FedEx? If so, mine are arriving tomorrow!

That sounds familiar! They also came sooner than expected.

Greetings all

It's a bright sunny day now after a cloudy start. Scrabble this morning. I won all three games including defeating "The Shark". Yay me. I had to rush home so DH could have the car to go get his tooth stitches out. We were going to go visit our friend in the hospital after that but she might be moving to rehab hospital today so likely would not work. Maybe tomorrow. She supposedly will have 3 hours of rehab work each day. That sounds like a huge amount to me but I don't know what they will do.

I found some rare roast beef at the deli yesterday so thats dinner tonight. DH should be able to chew roast beef now. Of course, when he was supposed to be on soft foods he mostly ate popcorn.....

Liz I bet the dress is great. Go with instinct on it. Wishing the best with your new meds. All you guys are rocking this. Guess I had better get in line. Not sure how to know which med is best but I guess thats for the pros.

We watched a couple of episodes of "Resident Alien" last night. It's an ok show but kind of silly. DH loves it. I would rather do Palm Royale. I think there is a new one tonight.

So I am being asked for my preferences for our art show opening event. Truth is that I don't want to do it at all and I don't feel like I have enough stuff to be featured. Seems rude of me to state the truth which is that I don't give a rats ass what music or food we have but that would not be nice to the other featured artist who seems to take this seriously. I am going to state a preference for no live music so I don't feel obliged to stay and listen. Am I a party poop or what?

Not much else. Hope everyone has a bluebird day! Diane S

It seems like you have been surpassing the shark a lot these days!

Beautiful warm sunny day! I dragged Kirby into the car (what a chore that has become!) and took him to the vet to be weighed. He was his normal "cooperative" bouncing off the walls self so I am not entirely certain all of him was on the scale during weighing (I miss Ferg who just hopped right on and stood still!). But I think he weighs 58 pounds.

I spent some time planning out some new plants for the yard and sent my request to the landscaper. I am feeling pretty flush today as I over-paid my estimated taxes by an astronomical amount this year! (They base it on your income the previous year and I sold my house last year artificially inflating my income by a lot). Anywho, plants are being planned and he'll add the irrigation for the pots.

Scale was up again. Sigh.

I think that's it for me today. I need to go walk the crazy beast.

Take care!

Nice to have your refund, even though it has always been your money, it's lime finding a $20 in your coat pocket you forgot about! Show us some pics once your planters are the way you want them.

You're so right! My mom used to say it was silly for people to get excited about tax refunds because they unnecessarily gave the government an interest free loan. I guess I hadn't been aware how big of an interest free loan I had given so it is nice to get it back even if I should have had it all along!

Though it is true that ideally we shouldn't overpay, it sure feels like free money when we do get a refund doesn't it?
