We leave the house by 12 and hopefully are in the air by 3:30. If all goes smoothly we will be out of New England and back to Florida before predicted high winds and rain up north and potential thunderstorms in the south.
I was reading the posts yesterday but couldn't Like any of them because the button is missing. OH is so weird sometimes.
We accomplished most of what I wanted in addition to the surgery so we feel good about leaving.
i am sleeping well on the couch which may have to continue in Florida. Having lots of pillows at the end to prop me up plus the back of the couch to create a bit of a corner has been my most comfortable sleeping place the last couple of nights. The recliner has become too restrictive and using a wedge on the bed too impossible to stay comfortable. Hopefully I can morph from the couch soon.
My HenryMeds appointment is Friday. I'm sure it will go fine - looking forward to starting the Tirzepatide. DD is on her second week of the lowest dose of semaglutide. She reports only very small changes. She is going to ask if she can move to the next dose sooner.
Not much else to report - next time should be from a warmer environment. Have a watchful Wednesday.
Greetings all
Still drinking coffee while house gets cleaned. Lots of dog footprints due to rain last week. As mentioned my new floor is really good at hiding them.
Safe travels Liz. Get warm. Sounds like you have found the pillow sweet spot. Its a challenge to sleep comfortably after any surgery. Especially shoulder. It impacts everything. Especially side sleepers. GL on Henrymed. I looked at their site once and boy is my facebook full of ads. Its ok. I need the information. The site said there is now an oral option! Just when I had convinced myself I could do shots.
It's overcast and chilly today. I need to go to the gallery and studio. I have not made much stuff recently and I am supposed to be featured at the gallery in May. Tried to get out of it but no dice.
I went to the store yesterday for a couple of items and bought too much stuff from the deli. I seem to impulse purchase food and then toss it. Some new kind of mental disorder.
CC hope the puppy games are working. I hear you on having a disorganized day. Some days I just can't get it together to get much done. Making a list helps a lot. Makes you realize it's really not all that much. Thinking there is too much to get done makes me just not want to start.
DD vinyl and chill hour sounds so great! Sounds like a thing that would work well around here. There are plenty of vinyl fans here. I gave all mine to such a person years ago. So glad you did not get a big storm there. Helmet in a tornado? Having lived in Nebraska 50 years I don't think I ever heard that one But as I kid I rode a bike without one. Enjoy the rest of Nashville.
I have some deli chicken for lunch and also deli tuna salad. Time to spring into action.

Rybelsus is the brand name oral medication. It has to be taken on a totally empty stomach, then no food or drink for 30 minutes. Maybe wouldn't work as well with a VSG stomach? But maybe it would be fine.
I was curious after Liz's comment about her DD not getting a lot of benefit from the initial dose of semaglutide, so I did some reading. Turns out I am a bit of an outlier! Many people do not feel effects of the drug at the initial dose. Statistically, it's not until the second level dose that most people begin to feel the effects of the drug and for weight loss to kick in. Some people, though, like me, do feel the effects immediately. But I also felt some of the negative side effects immediately, too (e.g. mild stomach pain, nausea - especially with the first dose, rumbly tummy, some gassiness, etc....) Now that I've been on the drug for 6 weeks, I notice far fewer of the negative side effects. The main one I seem to have is a bit of of constipation, which I don't mind at all. This last dose also seems to be lasting the whole week. I have not noticed an uptick in cravings or hunger and today is the last day of my semaglutide week.
I was same weight today as yesterday, so I'm crossing my fingers that I am truly down 19 pounds. I was hoping to lose 20 pounds prior to Westiminster in May, so looks like I will make that goal and hopefully and extra 5.... I boy can dream! LOL
Diamond Diane (not to confuse with LIz's DD) I am so glad you are having fun in Nashville. I think I would like to visit someday. I have never heard anyone have anything negative to say about Nashville.
Liz, safe journey to the southland.
CC, is it shot day for you? I think you take Zepbound onWednesdays, right? I was reading this morning about achieving the steady dose, which takes 6 to 8 weeks for most people. It may be taking you just a little longer. The article says that eventually this end of the shot week return of hunger goes away and the drug regulates well over the whole week.
Today is catching up on some more chores. Lucky goes in for a recheck on his mouth, I need to get to the tailor for a pant repair, need to get the rig in to a dump station and do some cleaning in it. I also have dogs that must be groomed, but that seems to be a given in my daily life! LOL
Wonderful Wednesday to all.
