1 day to warmth! 3 days to my telehealth meeting for Tirzepatide.

I just reread yesterday's posting - I had DD with a "new" DH. LOL, they get along so well their relationship is like a new one!

My postop went well. All is in proper position and healing well. Big scar (about 6 inches)! I guess I will just have to get used to it showing some. I found out that I will be in a sling for 8 weeks, not the 6 I thought. What a pain. I don't start formal PT until after that so I will start it on Cape Cod when we return for the summer. My surgeon is very conservative apparently.

Today we need to finalize a mover for the small number of items going to Florida from here and finish packing the boxes for that. Other than that we will just be getting ready to fly south tomorrow. Naturally there is a big storm coming in but I think if our flight is on time we will get out before it gets too bad.

Not much else here on this gray, soon to be rainy day. Have a tight Tuesday!

I tried to post last evening, but the site was down, then not working properly, then down again.

Had kind of a fun workout yesterday.... Instead of a training session I was invited to be my trainer's workout partner. It was fun!

I would really like to switch to a tirzapetide myself, Liz. I contacted Henry Meds and they still don't have a pharmacy in CA for tirzapetide. I have 6 more shots before my semaglutide runs out. At that point I was hoping to switch to the tirzapetide, but not so sure, it'll happen. I could switch to a different company, but I'm leery. Henry Meds is a little more expensive, but their reviews and ratings are very high.

I should not complain though. I can not remember a time it was any easier to lose weight. The lack of obsession is wonderful. I think it's the combination of reduced hunger, slower gastric emptying and lack of food noise that puts a new spin on everything. After VSG I was obsessed with macros, calories, no sugar, and hunting tasty VSG recipes. The semaglutide sure takes away any feeling of "diet". I was telling a friend last night that I can absolutely, 100% see taking semaglutide or tirzapetide for the rest of my days. It is proving to be a game changer for me.

First few days of spring vacation have already been jam packed with chores and obligations. It's making me feel bah humbug! LOL At least we have gotten some much needed cleaning out of the way!

Liz, glad your shoulder is on the mend! Conservative is good. Better slow than too soon and having a set back!

DD, enjoy Nashville! I have never been. A very good friend works in fancy hotel as a concierge. Name of the hotel escapes me....

CC, weird AZ weather, but not uncommon yes? Glad we connected re: Kirby. Can't wait to see the video of his puppy push ups!

Diane S, so nice to see a pic from our meet up at the dog show! Hope Shrinking Nerd's testing and crown repair went smoothly. So, are you going to join us on the semaglutide/tirzapetide wagon. I think you'll be amazed. The anti-inflammatory properties alone would probably do you a world of good. I drove from home to Bakersfield on Saturday to drop of a dog for a friend. After that long drive I popped out of the car with no soreness or stiffness. That was absolutely joyful!!!!

Toodles!

We really enjoyed the Old Town Trolley tour yesterday, and found out about a few things we want to try outside the Broadway, honky tonk bubble. Hit up 2 venues last night, Tootsies, which is apparently a must do. Big crowd, lots of energy. Than we went to a place called the Twelve Thirty, which had more of a jazz club vibe, and a duet. DH ordered a diet coke, and they said On the house. We joked they paid us to listen to music. More later, on to today's next activity!

So sad! One of my pots is broken! And there was a 48 hour window to report problems with the order. Snow and rain stopped me from unpacking completely in that window. Not to mention they are incredibly heavy and I am struggling to get them unnested alone. I thought as well packed as it was and everything looking fine from the outside that it might be okay. This is a middle pot of 3 nested ones. I called the company and sent them pictures. We'll see what they say.

Landscapers are here digging up a dead tree. They basically pulled it right out. The roots I think had been eaten. They are also respraying my weeds and the weed killer washed off. He's normally not a weed killer guy, just shows how bad they are.

I definitely have had more appetite yesterday and today. Shot tomorrow.

My friend's painting didn't sell during the show so she asked me to go pick it up. Need to go do that, but not looking forward to the spring break traffic to get there.

Peps called to give me a bunch of games to play with Kirby to wear him out. I'll report back!

Take care all!

Greetings all

It's overcast here. Scrabble today. Won one, got killed in the other two. One of our group might be going on some new reality tv show relating to Scrabble. We were trying to figure out how they would make a reality drama out of Scrabble! Years ago I played tournaments. Word Freak and Word Wars style. Fun but I fail to see drama potential.

So I decided not to try to see my friend who had the 12 hour surgery yesterday. Even if they would let me in to the ICU, which I doubt they would, I just thought it would not be a good idea.

Got my weekly cheeseburger and did some other errands. A lot for me. I need to go up to the gallery but maybe will wait until tomorrow.

Liz glad you had a good post op check up. You look well healed on the FB pic. Amazing for such a big cut. Yeah that scar gel is great stuff. Used it on all my hand surgeries. Anyway have a safe flight.

So Peps which place did you get your semiglutides from? I am going to explore this and contact my PCP but want to look at options since he is so busy. I have read a little and I don't appear to have any contraindications. Yes, it would be wonderful to be free of aches and pains. DH heart test went fine. Just took awhile. And the dentist said his crown is fine and well attached and nothing more needed. So thats all good.

CC still have snow or is it gone?

DD Tootsie's!!!! I will have to look that up. We used to have a dachshund named Tootsie. Wow free diet coke.

Not much else. I need a nap.

Yeah for all good news about your DHs medical visits. I think you did the right thing about visiting your friend. One time I visited my Mom in the ICU, and I sat with her while she had some lunch. Turns out she didn't remember any of it. She would have been better off resting than visiting with me.

I am using Henry Meds henrymeds.com

The semaglutide they compound is the real deal. Well, at least it works very, very well for me. I'm down 19 pounds.

They have been forecasting a really dangerous storm here. This morning, the local news reported several school districts closed, or planned an early release, so students wouldn't be on the busses during the terrible storm. One of the broadcasters even gave a safety tip if you were sheltering from a confirmed tornado: wear a helmet. It's probably not the worst advice, but also seemed a bit absurd.

We made sure to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame in the morning before all heck broke loose. It rained a moderate amount around 1pm, and then nothing. The sun even came out for a bit around 3pm. I did not need a helmet.

I enjoyed the Hall of Fame, but I like how the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is organized better. Country Music Hall of Fame is worth seeing, but I don't think I would need to see it again. I would go back to the Rock and Roll one though.

One of the nice features of the hotel is Vinyl and Chill at 3pm. We made it today. Someone puts on a record from the vinyl collection they have in the lobby and they serve a complimentary ****tail. A nice little pause to the day.

Because we thought there would be rain and 60 mile an hour winds tonight, we planned on eating at the hotel. Now that the sun is peaking out, we might head to Broadway again instead.

The farm baseball team in Nashville has a cute stadium, and is playing the St. Paul Saints tomorrow. We've never been to a Saints game in St.Paul, but this seemed like serendipity, and the tickets are inexpensive, so we bought some for tomorrow night. Hope it's not a mistake and I freeze to death. Maybe the lows in the 50s they're predicting won't show up either.
