DD you are so right. Competence is punished. Ineptitude is rewarded. So dumb. Glad this day is done for you. Hoping your DD finds the meds she needs.

Ornithology lesson: Stellar blue jays are different than regular blue jays. They are beautiful and iridescent blue. Found only in the west in the US. But they are also nasty and cranky like regular blue jays. Hogged the bird bath.

Sounds like a beautiful bird. I am not an educated type birder, but I love watching any birds that show up in my yard. I keep lots of bird baths of different depths and sizes, and they attract a a very pleasing variety of birds. And yes, even the wretched squirrels. I do not begrudge them some water if they would just not eat my flowers or all my birdseed.

I love Stellar Jays! I grew up with them in Oakland. The are loud, noisy, and absolutely cheerful! They do not live this far east in my county. Not their native habitat. They like coastal forests. We settle for their ugly cousin, the Scrub Jay, here in the oak studded hills.

Hi all!

Weight took a little drop and I am now down a full 10 pounds. If I stop to think about it, that's still really good for 2.5 weeks. I am hoping that this downward dip continues for a little bit. At my weight and size, 10 pounds is really not terribly noticeable to others. I tend to feel like "real" weight loss is at 15 pounds....

One more dose at the entry level and then on up to the next dosing level. I will be interested to see what happens. I am very aware of the possible side effects of this med. I know serious side effects are very rare (less than 0.5%), but I am wary of the pancreatitis possibility. I probably wouldn't be, except that my mom died from pancreatic cancer. I clearly don't have gastroparesis. So far just gurgly tummy and some sensitivity to protein drinks - even the Fairlife.... DAMN IT!

I will be so glad when my body adjusts to the time change. I am not loving this getting up in the dark and the past two nights it has been hard to go to bed at what should be "bed time".

Overall, Tuesday has been terrific. Hope y'alls was terrific, too!

I really do think that being a WLS patient helps us deal with whatever side effects come with these drugs, we're pretty attuned to protein and processing "feedback" from our digestive system. Agreed that serious side effects are statistically unlikely to happen. My own theory entirely, if you are overweight for other reasons than lack of this hormone, might you have bigger side effects? I am convinced that I am deficient in the hormone Wegovy is now supplying. Some side effects, but tolerable, and lessened over time. But what if I had sufficient amounts of this hormone? Would adding more to my system make me sick? Like if I took insulin, although my body is making a sufficient amount?
