Yesterday was a gorgeous day in Florida - back to what winter in Florida is usually like. We spent the day at the beach.

Today we have someone coming to give us an estimate to add beadboard wainscoting to our living room and paint the room and the lanai. We would probably have it done after we leave in May. We are hoping to lighten them up a bit and give a more "coastal" feeling.

After that we are going to a Craft Fair, then listening to some music outdoors. I hope the knee holds out.

Mulling over information on semaglutide - oral or injectable??? I plan to start the process after my surgery so the medication can be delivered in Florida.

Not much else on the agenda on this beautiful Florida day. Have a superb Saturday!

This one is more concerning: https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/ lilly-finds-bacteria-other-impurities-mounjaro-zepbound-knoc koffs-2024-03-07/

Kirby still has a bad gut. I had to wait for him to poop to take a sample in for testing. He goes all night, then nothing during most of the day. So it was 3:30 before I got it over there. Hope they can get it back today. There was a super annoying woman in there with her dog who kept trying to engage me in conversation while I was dropping off the sample. So I really didn't hear what the lady behind the desk said. Damn my people pleasing side! I should've just ignored her to concentrate on what I was there for. So I don't know when I'll hear back and hope they are testing for the right stuff.

Same weight today.

The grout guy texted and asked if he could come today to seal instead. So hopefully this is the last I'll see of him for a long time!

I went to the reception for the juried art show my friend from CA entered. She wasn't able to come, so I FaceTimed the awards for her. She won second place! So exciting. 320 artists entered, 82 chosen. I so hope her painting sells. Lots of buzz around it.

So that's it here for me. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

And that is why using a STATE LICENSED compounding pharmacy is important. My compound comes from a state licensed pharmacy in CA. Currently there is no state licensed pharmacy in CA making tirzapetides. That's why I went with the Ozempic compound.

Yes, buyer beware. I think of all the meds people might be buying overseas that aren't from licensed pharmacies. At the least, they're ineffective, at worst they could make people sick, as the article points out.

Happy Saturday! The sun is shining here, but not like in Florida. Only in the low 40s with a nippy breeze. Mid 60s predicted for next week. That's May temps. Loving this winter.

So much to learn about these new weight loss drugs. There is currently Ryblesus on the market, which is a diabetes drug/ oral semaglutide. I previously read that in order for it to be an effective weight loss drug, the dose had big time side effects on gastrointestinal systems, even more than Wegovy. So the possibility of an oral medication leads me to 2 questions: is this a newer formula rather than a tweaking of a current diabetes drug, and is injection overall better for those of us with sleeves vs. an oral medication that might impact our tiny little stomachs?

I went to Planet Fitness today, giving me 3 workouts this week. 4 would be better. I think on the days I don't go workout, I should be like Diane S and do something at home. I have a 12 minute Tai Chi Routine I should really do every day for stretching and balance. But even if I did it only on the days I didn't go to Planet Fitness, that would be a positive.

Today I am rearranging my closets, and hopefully discarding more items. Especially since there are some new things I'm looking at online that I want to buy (but really don't need). Tomorrow evening we have theater tickets. And best of all, I'm not going to work on Monday. DH and I have back to back eye exams with the same doctor, so that will take most of the morning. As my retirement date draws closer, I'm looking at my accumulated sick days and deciding to use them for medical appointments I might typically have tried to do after school or during the summer. I have a mammogram in April, and Weight Loss Surgery Clinic for my Wegovy check in May. Knowing that "day off" is on the calendar helps.

Greetings all

Another sunny nice day here but I think thats going to change soon. Worked at the gallery this afternoon. Nice people came in and bought a few things. Studio buddy came in and got new mugs for her new house. I did my walking in circles around the gallery. I would do more if my legs didn't hurt. Tired of that.

Liz glad Florida is back where it needs to be. Your decorating project reminds me I need to get back to counter tops. But the looming task is the junk movers on Wed. If only I could move stuff with a twitch of my nose like Bewitched. It would be long gone.

Loving all the info on the weight loss drugs. Looking at travel options makes me realise how much better I would feel if I had even 20 pounds off. I am pretty sure thats why my legs hurt.

CC I sure wish Kirby would get a better gut. Not sure what feeding options are better - I think you just have to experiment. Rocks are not on the menu. Poppy plays with rocks and brings them in the house but has yet to eat one. My dogs like Greenies that they spend a lot of time chewing up.

DD glad you get a few saved up off days. Good on you for getting rid of clothes. Reminds me to gather stuff for the junk man. It can come from inside the house as well as outside!

More pot roast tonight. Maybe a few new potatoes. Or maybe soft tacos with the roast beef. So many possibilities.

The big bear eagles have yet to have an egg hatch. The first egg may be too old and not viable. I sure wish they would get an eaglet or two. Last year was sad.

Whatever the junk haulers take away on Wednesday is going to make life better. Wonderful idea.

I think he caught something from grabbing wild animal scat on our walk. His gut is pretty good when he does have parasites!
