I hope these 2 weeks go by fast Liz, so you can be on the other side and healing.
Conferences went fine, although I had some moments thinking, why are we meeting, I just did an hour meeting with you last month. I am now reclining on my bed, enjoying a nice Old Fashioned, prepared by DH, using his fancy bourbon.
I waited until day 9 for my shot (I'll take it in a minute), and unlike last dose, I was an eating machine today. I had 2 pieces of pizza (medium from Dominos) in one sitting. Something I rarely do, medication or not.

Both my shots showed up at about 2pm. Ice packs on the Zepbound were slushy, but still cold. Whew. I almost tried the compound, but looking at those little needles I chickened out. I even struggled to press the button on the Zepbound, but I did it eventually. Any tips, Peps for actually getting up the courage to inject yourself? I did see an auto injector on Amazon, but all the reviews are for people with diabetic dogs. Ha!
So 5mg is on-board. No side effects or appetite changes yet, but it's only been a few hours.
I got some different hive medication at the pharmacy. Not sure it's working yet. I don't even want to imagine this is related to the tirzepatide. At least it's nowhere near my injection sites or close to my injection days. So maybe just a coincidence. I did see some things online about dairy and gluten and those maybe playing a role for some people. I have never seemed to have any issues with dairy or gluten, but maybe worth trying elimination trials to see if this keeps up. For many it's truly idiopathic. My mom became allergic to lots of things as she got older.
I think the tile guy is a perfectionist. I finally asked him what the plan was going forward as he seemed to be spinning his wheels. He is really frustrated with the efflorescence and its lighter color. He said he's not charging me for yesterday or today because he feels like this is his fault. I finally said, while it's not a perfect match, I don't see it unless I'm looking for it, it looks fine as a whole, it's not crumbling or cracked like is was, and maybe it's time to accept it for what it is. He was even considering hand painting a stain onto everything he did. Liz, you've seen the size of these patios, that would take a month! So he finished for the day and is coming back Monday after it rains to seal it and be done. Thank heavens.
Is your prescription Zepbound in an auto inject single use pen? I never see my needle, just push the pen into my skin until I hear a click and hold it until the dosage window turns yellow. Sometimes I feel it, sometimes not at all. If I had to load up a syringe and then give myself a shot, I would not like it at all.

Zepbound is in the automatic pen where you can only see the needle if you look down the barrel. I am anticipating pain, when at most it's a little sting, so I hesitate to press the button. And hesitate. The compound is in a little vial and comes with insulin type needles you have to load and inject. Eek. That's the one I'm not sure I'm capable of!
