Our guest is here until late tomorrow but my mind is turning towards planning for hosting the neighbors in our condo building on Sunday afternoon. I ordered plastic ware and a charcuterie board to serve as centerpiece. I was awake for several hours in the middle of the night thinking about it.
Today is warm, muggy and cloudy so we will probably drive down the coast a bit for lunch, then we have dinner at the Beach Club. I keep trying to make good choices for meals and keep portions small but we shall see if it has any effect when I weigh on Friday. Though with the humidity I know I am retaining water so it may be offset regardless. The rings are tighter than usual.
My knee continues to heal. Walking too much takes a toll but at least it is heading in the right direction. I really miss walking with Justice. I did order knee braces which hopefully will get me out earlier. I injured the same knee almost 20 years ago running so perhaps that the injury has recurred. A knee brace helped a lot back then.
Time to get my act together. Have a winning Wednesday!

Kirby had a bad belly last night and was up several times for emergency potties and a bonus throw up with a rock in it. And then I finally got back to sleep only to be woken up by hives and horrendous itching. I emailed my doctor yesterday, so hopefully she has other ideas. His system was back to normal by morning. I'm a zombie.
My prescription didn't come yesterday. Both that and the compound are sitting in Phoenix this morning hopefully with unmelted cold packs. I was back to my ravenous self yesterday evening. Sigh.
I did take my measurements and lost a good bit in circumference over the month in my upper and middle body, but my legs got bigger. Walking. Can't win for health behaviors!
Grout guy really needs to finish. I'm tired of him being here and tired of the bills racking up.
No organized plans today. I am going to go get some of the new Allegra allergy medicine for hives, but that's the only plan. Hope you all have a great one!
Liz, you are going to do well ! All of the swimming and kayaking have paid off for me. PT is going well, and my two month X-ray follow up with my surgeon showed everything where it should be, and healthy bone regrowth. The first two weeks were the hardest for me, and the snap shoulder/arm shirts I ordered on Amazon along with a couple snap house coats got me through. (I initially couldn't undo buttons or pull on a zipper and it was easy to open snaps.) The zip front sports bra was comfy too !

Thanks for this! I bought some XL zip hoodies for the first 2 weeks in Massachusetts which I plan to wear over the sling. DH will inherit them afterwards.
Greetings all
The rain has stopped and the sun finally came out. Lovely day here on the north coast. The house got cleaned this morning and all is well.
Spent time at the studio and did a little glazing. Caught up on gossip. We raised rates but the place is still busy. Stopped at the grocery store for a few items. Pot roast for tomorrow. I usually get the smallest one they have but this time got a medium. Can always use the leftovers.
Liz ordering a tray of refreshments is a great plan. My favorite recipe. I am sure your building party will go well. Cripes surgery is coming right up! Ocean Diane had some good ideas. Pullovers are probably a no go for awhile. Is it your left or right? Neither sounds fun.
CC maybe grout man has a crush on you. And that service on the door lock is wonderful. No one does all that anymore. Glad you don't have to resort to a stick. At our house the slider has these window pane bars on it so a stick is not noticeable. I kind of wish those bars were gone.
Ocean Diane, good to hear from you. I am so glad to hear you are healing well. Yep paddling is good for you. People paddle board or go on sea kayaks here often. Looks fun. How is Sadie?
CC interesting about how the shot delay = appetite. Chemical indeed. Sorry you have hives. What brings that on I wonder? Maybe it's grout dust.
Deli chicken tonight. Cheers all.

My pups have had squeaky guts the past two nights, too! Makes for poor rest indeed!
Semaglutide is still working, but a little less so than the first week. The noise continues to be far, far in the background, but not as wonderfully far away as it was last week. LOL! If something is in front of me, it's easier to take a bite or taste. The first week, most temptations were off putting. Not as much this week. BUT... That first 9 pounds is staying off and I do feel much better in my body - joints are far less sore, I feel less stiff after sitting..... I'm guessing the inflammation in my body is lessening.
Liz, eating out makes it really hard to lose weight. My NUT counselor talks with me about that pretty regularly, because (I think you know) how much I enjoy take away. She says the even the "healthy" choices are generally high in sodium and saturated fats. I know I always do better when I limit my restaurant eating. I don't eliminate it - just reduce the frequency.
No one I voted for in the Super Tuesday primary came out the leader, but I'm not all that surprised. I even registered with a political party for this election so I could vote that ticket. I've been a no party preference for years, so it was a bit of a hoot to be affiliated with a party. Voter turn out in CA was dismal. It makes me sad that so few people take advantage of the privilege to vote.
Not much else to report.
My experience with food noise ebbs and flows. I notice as the week goes on, especially at the lower doses, it starts to wear off. And then I've experienced going 9 days between shots and getting no let up in restriction. And days when I had food aversion and days when I was hungry, with no discernable reason/cause. I experienced that with a newish sleeve too. Still, the overall experience is one of either wanting to eat less, or, simply not being able to eat. It's quite a trip.
I wanted to be a good citizen and vote in our primary. But in Minnesota primaries your name gets passed onto the Caucus Chairs based on the primary ballot you choose. I was a baby, and didn't want to get on a million mailing lists and get phone calls, and invitations to caucus. Not sure why this bothers me, I guess I'm silly. But there it is. Otherwise, I always, always vote.
