Is it really already 5 days into March? I am really missing my morning walks. My knee is better - I can bear full weight on it but both knees feel very weak and sore. How could this happen so fast and will it improve?

Justice is missing his long walks too. He must have gotten up at least 6 times last night waking me every time. He sits on the bed and shakes his ears which makes sure he wakes me up, then after walking around the house, he returns and pushes at the covers until I let him in.

We saw the space launch last night. Quite cool. I found a live YouTube site where you could listen to the countdown. We could actually see the glow just before it launched even though we are about 45 miles away from Cape Canaveral. We are going to the Space Coast to meet a joint friend of DH and our visiting guest. DD and her DH went to the same place after our visit 9 days ago.

Time to get my act together. Have a tippy Tuesday!

Hives continue, drat it all... not sure what to do. i guess call my doctor. So itchy and uncomfortable.

I got confirmations in the middle of the night that both my prescriptions shipped. The Zepbound pens arrive today, the compound tomorrow. I am such a wimp, I'm not sure I can do the needle on myself thing. I read somewhere Amazon sells spring loaded pens you put your needle into. I need to check that out. Anyway, I should have my shot today, which is shot day! It's a step up in strength from my first batch.

When taking the dog out, I opened the sliding door and realized it had been locked but still opened easily. Broken locking mechanism. So this morning has been trying to figure out what brand my doors and windows are (Marvin) and finding someone local who fixes them (no luck yet). I emailed Marvin with my issue asking for repair people who work in this area. I threw in I wanted someone who could assess the weather stripping while they're at it to prevent scorpion intrusion.

Also spent the morning communicating with the person who may take over for me as treasurer of the non-profit at the end of the year. Woohoo!

Tile guy is here acid washing the grout.

Still no birds, though there are lots outside. The house finches are back in droves.

Food not great yesterday. The last shot didn't seem to work the same.

I think that's it. Need to do some tidying and walk Kirby, but nothing else on the schedule. Oh, and take my measurement day too. I figure every 4 weeks I'll do it.

Take care all! PS - scale up a pound today. I deserved it.

I'm hoping DD will try one of them but very worried about her with needles. She really hates them so maybe her fiancé will have to do it with her not looking.

The scale has not cooperated the last week. Perhaps the trailing impact of my short vacation. I don't really eat more on vacation, but I do have one ****tail everyday, and those can pack a calorie hit. My months with Wegovy have taught me to stay calm, and the scale will move down when it's going to.

Glad your knee is better Liz. Maybe something to look into after sufficient shoulder healing.

I am so fatigued again, yesterday and today. I'm feeling okay about protein, but maybe not enough fluids. Or maybe just worn out, and I need to honor my body's request for rest. Ugh, tomorrow is conference night. At least spring conferences are only one night, instead of fall conferences which run 2 nights. The biggest snafu for me is having to think about packing lunch AND dinner.

The crazy nice weather continues here. (Nice of course being relative to a typical Minnesota March). It's something to be grateful for, a lovely reprieve from the piles of snow we had at this time last year.

I can't imagine having to be the host at those conferences. So exhausting for even one family (unless your child is perfect and when does that happen?). Having to meet with all this parents? Maybe that has you mentally exhausted in advance!

ETA: My children were perfect for us, but I always felt that parents who thought their child was always perfect were not really keyed in. Because no one can be perfect and that's what makes our kids unique and wonderful.

Greetings

Yep, seems like it can hardly be March. Wasn't Christmas yesterday? But the signs of spring are out there. Little buds on the flowering trees, lots of daffodils, no tulips yet. It's raining and on the freeway earlier it was positively pouring. I don't like driving in it but not a choice. Scrabble this morning. Won two including The Shark, lots third to The Shark by two points. Some big plays but no cool words.

Watching the Big Bear eagles intensely now. Hatch could be any minute. Or, as happened last year, the eggs could be undeveloped and not hatch. Me want eaglets. The Florida eaglet is now huge and will fly any minute.

CC our slider lock broke a long time ago. So we just have a stick in the door. DH got a gadget that is a hinged stick that pulls down to effectively do the same as a stick.

Liz how cool is that to see a space launch. Nice of them to do that for your guests! Glad knees feel better.

DD, students and their phones! I dont' know how schools get anything done with those around. Do they all get on them between classes?

The dogs are practically comatose these days. They want nothing to do with the rain so they stay in and veg out. Kind of sounds like a good idea.

Steak last night. No clue whats for tonight. Maybe tuna salad.

I thought about the stic****il they can come! I noticed the door said Marvin on the inside so I started interneting. Looked up Dealers in Sedona, none. Found the Marvin site and filled out a form to ask about a repair person close by. It asked for the serial number etched at the top of the window. Never noticed that! Had to take a picture so I could blow it up to make it out. Filled out the form. In a few hours they emailed me with the firm the previous owners bought them from, and the order number. They said they would be responsible for fixing it. I called company and the guy had the order, asked me which door it was (he even had it broken down by room and direction it faced) and said they will get someone up from Phoenix to fix it. Absolutely the best customer service I've had in a very long time!
