It is nice and warm with little breeze this morning. We just saw a bit of a dolphin show this morning with fish and dolphins jumping into the air. The prior few days we have seen a few manatees skimming along. The water must be warming up.
DH's friend arrived last night on time. We are probably going to the Beach Club today since it is so nice out. DH is cooking steak tonight and is a little put out that I requested that he not cook any for me. We had it last week with the SILs and then as leftover on Saturday. I like steak but not enough to eat it that often. I may have some lentil pasta that I bought recently. A bit of a strange consistency compared to regular pasta but not bad with some marinara on it and it is quite filling with a decent amount of protein.
DD was looking at WW and online compounding sites for possible access to semaglutide. I suggested she see her doctor/go to a local weight loss clinic first and find out how expensive it would be in a prescribed form. Her BMI is high enough that I don't think there would be any hesitation in them prescribing it.
That's it for today. Have a monkey Monday.

Bird Watch 2024. No birds yet!
Neither set of shots show any sign of shipping yet. Grr.
I didn't manage to make it to the grocery store yesterday. Maybe today.
Last night I woke up with hives (still only on my scars). Argh! I haven't had any when I've had my Zyrtec yet, and I took it yesterday. Hoping this is not a sign of things to come and just an anomaly.
I'm watching a documentary on Netflix called Bad Surgeon about a fantasist (extraordinary pathological liar) on the world stage who fools everyone until it falls apart when he scams a journalist for NBC into thinking he's going to marry her and the Pope is going to perform the ceremony because he's his private doctor. Crazytown!
That's it here. Take care all!
Very fatigued today. Monday I guess. Today a student had their phone out. I talked to her and said, you need to keep your phone in your bag during work time. She looked me dead in the eye and said, I don't have my phone today. I never use the word lying to a student, even when they are. I did tell her, I saw your phone, but now you have a bigger problem. If I EVER see your phone out again in my class, your phone is going to the dean's office. Good Lord, the nerve of some of these kids. She later came and apologized.
We finally booked our hotel for Nashville, and we're taking your recommendation Liz, and staying at the Holston House. We found many comparable hotels that were more expensive, and a few that were cheaper, but didn't have very good reviews. The Holston House has great reviews, and fits what we were looking for. So I am excited for that. I'm guessing the pool won't be open the first week of April, but maybe the rooftop bar will be.
DH is heating up a pre made Irish Stew he bought at Costco. I wonder if it will be any good? Smells nice.
I hope you like it! We went there twice and thought it was quite nice at way less money than the places a couple of blocks away.
Greetings all
It continues to drizzle today. I think we get a break tomorrow. I don't really care since I don't do much outside but I do go from the car to stores.
Got my hair cut and done today in anticipation of the passport picture. Got that done as well. Had a nice guy at fed x store who actually seemed to really care about getting a good shot. He took several angles trying to avoid glare and shadows. Turns out my hair is about as white as the background so he was trying to not have me fade into it. I also picked up payroll today for the studio and took care of that. I learned we are getting a new kiln - well second hand but only fired once and sitting unused for years. We get lots that way and they are pefectly good. We had an old one that is about history. No moving parts but they eventually sort of crumble from high heat.
CC you gotta get some birds there! Check in on the eagles. Big Bear ones have not hatched yet and are now due so hoping no repeat of last year. Southwest florida eaglet will be flying any day.
And thanks for the tip on Bad Surgeon. We watched "The Octopus Murders" netflix documentary last night. Not sure I would recommend it. It's all about weird conspiracy theories and a reporter investigating them. Kind of a commentary on our weird times where conspiracy theory abounds.
Have fun with guests Liz. But I disagree on the steak. I would eat most anything if someone else makes it!!!! Speaking of which, we are having that for dinner tonight since I defrosted one from the freezer expedition. Enjoy the manatees. I don't think I have ever seen one.
Cheers. Diane S
