Well the knee isn't too terrible. I iced it off and on yesterday and didn't do much but read and watch TV. Boring after a while... I can't straighten it to walk but can hobble without pain with it bent. I will probably go see someone tomorrow.
DH's friend arrives around 7 tonight. There is laundry and bathroom touch-up needed but DH will do it. I feel very inept - I guess it is a precursor for what's coming with the shoulder surgery.
I had a discussion with DD yesterday about talking to a doctor about taking a GLP-1 medication for weight loss. She is really frustrated with her weight and very unhappy about how she looks in her wedding dress which she picked up yesterday.
Time to leave for DH's usual Sunday breakfast. Have a savvy Sunday!

Glad the knee doesn't feel as bad today!
I got the bird feeder set up and finally found a spot outside that gets a little wifi. For me that was the struggle. It's still not great, but we'll see. I'll share if I get any birds. Here's what the camera view looks like in my yard:
I don't feel as much for sure with this last shot, especially as the week goes on (they do wear off toward days 6&7). Not sure I'll have my next batch by Tuesday as neither have shipped. But maybe Tuesday afternoon? That would be fine. My weight is up 0.8 from my low on the meds. I'm not overeating, just thinking about food more and nibbling more.
Kirby needs a walk and I need to drop some dog fencing off at my neighbors. She loaned me some I didn't end up using. And maybe pick up a few things at the grocery store. It's been windy the last few days. Pretty though.
That's all I've got! Happy Sunday all!
Liz, I do hope you get your knee looked at tomorrow. I injured my knee years ago, and I count open/bend it all the way. It turned out that I did not have a torn meniscus (MRI scan) which is what the initial thought was, but that my knee cap was off track. It took some PT to get it moving correctly again. I never did regain complete range of motion but I'm pretty close and it rarely gives me any problems. But it hurt a lot initially. So let them have a look. You can't be hobbling and have an immobilized shoulder at the same time.
If your daughter is able to take the GLP-1 medication, it could be very effective for her. Imagine having a sleeve or these meds with a young metabolism. Either way, she is lovely.
CC, your ability to get all your techie things working amazes me. Looking forward to the bird feeder pics. Here's hoping your meds come soon! I last took my shot on Monday, and today I can feel less restriction. On the lower doses I felt it more. Sometimes I postpone my shot a day or two and try to push more protein on the days I can eat more.
Last night I managed half of a 6 ounce filet mignon. So delicious. Also, at the advanced age of 62, I had steak tartare for the first time. Our friends LOVE it. It was tasty, but I'd rather have a medium steak.
Home from our sleepover. DH and I are going to go workout in a little bit, then I will settle in with my Sunday paper. 27 days and we go to Nashville. I like a schedule full of trips. I need to plan some more.
Greetings all
This storm cannot make up its mind. Hailing one minute, sun out next. Supposed to continue for two more days. I have avoided going out due because I hate driving in storms. Not bad right now.
Liz I agree you should get that knee checked out. Bad knee plus shoulder surgery = no fun. Maybe you could try one of those over the counter knee braces with velcro. I have one for my ankle when I had the tendonitis. Helped but. Meanwhile don' overdo it. And yeah DD should at least check out the GLP stuff. Why not at least investigate. But DD is right - wedding dress is fab.
CC hoping for birds for you. I assume camera has a feeder with it. Are there hummingbirds there? I need to put finch feeder back up.
We have been binge watching Tokyo Vice. Gangsters in Japan. Normally not my kind of thing as its violent but interesting glimpse of Japanese culture and western reactions.
Tomorrow will be busy. Hair cut and style followed by passport picture before hair gets trashed. Also studio payroll.
Must go freezer spelunking to see whats for dinner tonight. I think there is one nice steak to cook.
Time to do my walking while DH watches Ancient Aliens. Then need to work on gallery tax returns which are march 15 as its corporate.
Cheers. Diane S
It would be great if this gained momentum. But who knows? It may continue languishing as does the bill for eliminating daylight savings time. I was surprised to see that this proposed bill has been around for over 10 years (obviously must have been updated along the way):
"When was the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act introduced?
TROA was first introduced during the 113th Congressional session in 2013. It is a bill that has received support from both Republicans and Democrats. The bill was re-introduced in every subsequent Congress since the 113th."
