Lots of discussion about semaglutide yesterday. It so frustrates me that I will have to go the online compounding route if I want to take it. Stupid Medicare rules. My doctor says he can't prescribe it for pre-diabetes (only actual diabetes). He can prescribe Wegovy for weight loss but Medicare rules prohibit the prescription plans from covering weight loss drugs (leftover from the time when they were amphetamine based). I have great hopes that they will work well for Peps, as it seems that BB had great success though with a lot of side-effects.

Other than feeling pudgy, the day looks like it may be decent. We went to the Beach Club yesterday and possibly may try it today again.

We ate leftover vegetarian chili last night which is always a good appetite suppressant food for me. Maybe more tonight?

Nothing else going on except for the usual Justice walk and bocce late this afternoon. Today is the first time the entire team will be available so for once we have enough players to do substitutions.

Have a thrifty Tuesday!

If it is any consolation, I would absolutely never describe you as pudgy especially after seeing you in person! I wouldn't even describe you as needing to lose any weight. I know what we feel now about ourselves is often gauged by the weight where we felt our best and how far off that we may be, but know even if you are not in that place, you look fabulous!

Very kind of you! I don't totally dislike this weight but the sore knees are driving me to feel that I have to lose enough to ease the pressure on them. I'd rather replace one joint, not multiple.

The masonry repair guy came by yesterday. Nice kid. He and his girlfriend moved here from Wisconsin about 4 years ago. He finished his last job yesterday afternoon and will start mine today. He'll grind out the broken and cracked grout, resetting and replacing tiles where needed, and along my dad's patio, will cut off the end 2.5" of tile and concrete. They put the concrete pad down without taking into account the width of the tile, so it ended up with a 3" tile edge which overhangs the edge. 4 of those thin tiles broke off the edge. He said it would just keep happening so cutting off the edge altogether would be the safer route.

Aside from that not much going on. The scale was up today, which is fine. Fluctuations are normal.

Take care all!

I shouldn't have said not much else going on: Wedding DJ and Photographer decisions this morning. Now figuring out a place for female wedding party hair/makeup/getting ready and for Bride/groom wedding night accommodations. So much to do with a short timeline. Mostly because we are playing catch-up time wise.

Not much going on here, work is done, so trying to set aside thoughts of school until tomorrow. DH and I are celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow by getting spa pedicures together. The technicians are always so delighted when DH joins me.

Greetings all

Scrabble today. Won 1, lost two. Not a good record but oh well. Did not do much else.

Interested in more information on semiglutides and such.

DH now has endodontist appointment and cardiologist apt in March. About time.

Chili again tonight.

Thats it. Diane S

Rather late check in for me.... Feeling a little stressed at the moment. Moved some money around to pay for my "retirement" cruise and now the bank is holding funds.... UGH..... Payment due on Thursday.... Fingers crossed.

Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday is a thing for Ron. I don't care one way or the other, but I made him his traditional Fat Tuesday dinner: Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. At least I have a little more control than if we were to go out for a "fat" meal.

My tele/video appointment with the semaglutide doctor is tomorrow at 3:15. I'm already pre approved, so I don't think it will be much more than a formality. I hope I can start next week. I'm also hoping for minimal (if any) side effects.

Lots to do in the next few days to get ready for a dog show weekend.

As David used to say: More later!

Does the process start with online questions leading to pre-approval and follow-up for an online appointment to obtain final approval? Then some amount of time before your first doses arrive? It will be good to understand the process as I suspect I will be doing the same soon.
