Since you are tall maybe you need more than the starting dose to feel the effects?

Greetings all

The sun is out big time today and it's like the storm never happened. We are supposed to have a few clear days. Its nice. DH has to go to the vascular doctor today and again tomorrow for some kind of vein scan. Not sure what today is for but gets me the house alone for a bit. I think this doctor is going to want to remove some veins with bad valves. Sounds icky but supposedly not a big deal.

CC loved the video of Kirby in the snow. He is adorable. Peps is right - he will survive your dad's stern discipline. Maybe your dad learned from it.

Yes food and childhood is a complex subject for most of us. My older brother was a compulsive overeater and had various mental health issues. So there was almost a competition for desirable foods among us even though there was no shortage or economic issues. i would eat everything as a kid - smoked oysters, brussel spouts, liver - all the stuff most kids hate. Not sure why. I just thought these were good things especially since adults prized them. I think I understand all that stuff but it does not negate the fact that I still want a milano cookie?

Good luck on the wedding venue Liz. Something wonderful will turn up. Meanwhile, rest that shoulder. Wedding spreadsheet tee tee!

DD glad you got a day at home. Sounds like much needed.

I will go to the studio in a bit when DH brings the car home. The sun comes in very strong this time of year through my southwest window. Dries stuff out and sometimes too fast.

No clue on dinner tonight. Adventures in the freezer. Diane S

On a lighter note, my DH blames his bad eating habits on his older brother. Treats came into the house on grocery shopping day (ex 8 pack of coke in bottles) and DH said you ate them whether you were hungry or not, otherwise you wouldn't get any. Apparently my BIL devoured them. When they were gone, they were gone until the next week.

Liz, it's always reassuring to hear good reviews/info about surgeons. And Mass General is a good system.

CC, I wouldn't be concerned that you're not feeling any changes with the Zepbound yet. The lowest doses aren't meant for Weight loss, if that happens the first few doses, it's a bonus. Also, it builds up over time, no matter what dose. So by the 3rd or 4th low dose, you may notice some impact, because there is more of the hormone circulating. Finally, you might feel some still this week. With my Wegovy, I can feel the restriction loosening as I get to the end of the week. When I take the next shot, the restriction doesn't kick in fully until days 2 and 3. On the low doses, it was helpful. On the highest dose, when it does kick in, yowza, I feel it.

Yesterday was so nice. DH and I went out for brunch, then shopping for new countertops. Home for a bit, then a really good, unhurried work out, followed by dinner at home.

Tomorrow is yet again Friday. The days are long, but the weeks fly by!

Thanks, DD! I was thinking at least I wasn't one who needed a Zofran prescription for nausea like many do!

PS - I shoveled my first snow path to the dog potty area. I can see why a whole driveway with a shovel would be a health hazard! satisfying when it's all done. I know what we got will melt quickly, but I saw when you walk over snow, that ends up not melting as fast and gets icy. My snow education continues...
