It was incredibly windy yesterday and seems to be similar today (though a bit less). We may still try to go to the beach club and shelter from the wind next to the wall. If it works it would be nice to sit in the sun for the second time in 2024.
Justice refused to sleep in our bed last night for the first time in years. He started out the night in his usual spot but left and went into his living room sometime early in the night. I wonder what that is all about?
Tonight is book club which I am looking forward to. I read the book a few weeks ago so should refresh myself a bit on it. Biggest question is what to wear LOL.
The pre-sale house inspection for the other Florida house is today. We can't envision what might go wrong as so much has been replaced. The only possible issues we are aware of are an older AC unit (which works fine), one window that is stuck and one blind that doesn't go up. It used to be that only extreme, hidden problems became issues during home inspections (like foundation problems or totally broken appliances), but these days it seems like many people are looking for like-new perfection in an older home. That's kind of what happened when the previous contract fell through. Cross your fingers as DH's outlook on life will greatly improve once that house is sold.
Tomorrow I leave for a weekend of wedding planning. DD reports that the venue that is the most appealing on paper and from an outside view still has one Saturday in September open. Fingers crossed again please!
Time to walk cranky Justice. Have a winning Wednesday!

A snowy start to the morning. Very pretty! And very wet snow. My dad got up this morning and said, that's a movie set they just moved in here, can't be real...
Kirby is 5 months old today. Time flies when you're being bitten! He put big holes in one of my favorite sweatshirts and my pajama pants yesterday. Grr.
I took my first shot yesterday. Made me nervous, but I didn't feel it at all. I was also nervous to do it wrong! At $140 a shot, it's scary to mess up. I don't feel anything (no side effects or anything different), but some people don't on the early dose. The box is in a bottom drawer of the spare fridge, so I don't think anyone will notice.
Not much else going on in this neck of the woods!
Looking forward to hearing your experience on Wegovy. I would hide it from the food police too. I had a well meaning very overweight friend tell me I was crazy to have the VSG - that doing it the "natural" way was best. He is now much bigger and suffering from a variety of fairly serious health problems largely due to his excess weight.

Food policing is the worst! I feel for your friend. I think those comments stem from jealousy. Fear of surgery or cost of the surgery or fear of losing an eating buddy.
The one I started is Zepbound, which is tirzepatide. It?s the same as Mounjaro which is the T2 diabetes version
That's supposed to be the most effective- I think BB used it and lost a lot but also had some gastrointestinal issues with it. Good luck!
Hope that venue is just what DD wants. That would be awesome! Is it just a venue, or would it do the catering too? Sending good vibes for the house sale. And what a crazy winter in Florida.
I'm playing hooky from work today. Last week was so, so stressful that I looked ahead for a day I could do a mental health day with minimal impact or inconvenience to anyone else. Today was that day. I slept until 9am. Felt great.
I'll go work out again later today. When I go regularly, everything feels better, my mood, my sleep, my joints. Why do I struggle so much to get there? Anyhow, back in the habit of going again. Day by day.
Mental health days are important especially when jobs are stressful.
All 3 venues are restaurants so food is part of the deal (with selections from plated dinners to buffets to stations, depending on the venue).
Just heard from the broker that the home inspection went smoothly. The next step is for the larger chunk of the deposit to go into escrow by the end of the weekend, then we should just be on countdown until 3/1.
