How are our Californians fairing in the rain? I ran into landscape guy yesterday and he said this week should be interesting weather-wise here. While I know better than to trust the weather people, it looks in the forecast like 3.45" of moisture, in a mix that includes both rain and 13.6" of snow. Interesting indeed!
Kirby and I have had a nice alone break. My folks come back this evening. I brushed him yesterday and got three big brush-fulls of fur out of tiny him. He's going to be a big hairy boy like Fergus! Speaking of which, it really needs a vacuum in here today.
Lots of balloon action today! And a new one I haven't seen before that was blue, white, and pink. The yellow and dark green ones blend better with the scenery, but no one asked my opinion.
I called on Friday to ask about my prescription. The lady said I should get a text today with instructions on ordering. Hasn't arrived yet. It's been a month! I understand they've gotten tens of thousands of prescriptions and are inundated.
That's all from Sedona. Hope everyone is happy and healthy!
DH read this morning that the pharmaceutical company is building 3 more factories to generate more Wegovy. I guess the price won't be going down anytime soon.
The neighbor get-together was very nice yesterday. The couple who hosted it had the same condo layout as ours. So weird to see the difference that lighting, paint, flooring, and kitchen layout can make. There were a couple of things I liked better about theirs but overall I like ours better. More character, I think?
Three more days until I fly again. I am looking forward to the wedding stuff though. I have already been looking online at dresses for me. So many of them are dark, like navy blue. I like navy but DD said she would prefer pastel dresses.
Rain here today but at least Justice got out for a bit this morning. Unfortunately I don't think he is getting a long walk today.
Have a magical Monday LOL.
I have a Bunfly dog grooming brush vacuum that I brush Sadie with and the hair gets sucked right into the canister. The cord is long enough and the vacuum quiet enough that the noise doesn't bother her.

The weather here is so placid, it all seems topsy turvey. Hoping our California people are okay. It looks like Southern California is getting really pounded, same further north? Even Las Vegas.
I tried vacuuming my dog once. I had my son give her kibble one at a time. I didn't have a special tool, so didn't really do much good. During summer break, I would vacuum the whole house every day (very quickly) and really edge clean one room each day. But during the school year we were floating in dog hair. She's been gone so many years, and I still find hair once in awhile. They'll probably bury me with some.
Not the big 20 kid fight after school, but the lunchroom fight that started it keeps trending on Twitter. Not. Good. Hopefully it does not go even more viral. No kid should have something like that follow them. And the two teachers, of course I know them. What a mess.
DH is making us steak and salad after we got back from working out. I feel so virtuous. While we were working out we ran into one of our daughter's friends from elementary and middle school. Haven't seen her in years, but there was a time she was at our house all the time and referred to herself as our Asian daughter. So lovely to see her again.
Greetings all
The atmospheric river has arrived. Up here it's just a typical winter rain storm so nothing extraordinary. A few trees will fall but we have power and it's not windy. The worst is central and southern cal I think. Peps hope you are ok with your backyard creek. As usual. people I know from the midwest are wondering if we are ok.
CC that pup is one furry boy! Goldens have such great fur. The vacuum sounds like a great idea. But I have told you all about my friend who tried to vacuum her cat and ended up with abscessed puncture wound.
I did some glazing at the studio today. always a popular place when it rains. Looks like the glass studio is getting more use. A good thing. I picked up and signed payroll without getting too wet.
DH sees a vascular doctor tomorrow as well as the internist. I would sort of like to hear what the vascular doctor says. I know they sometimes want to take out bad veins but I am not sure thats needed. No one has mentioned pacemakers to DH but I know there are different types of aFib with differing treatments. The meds seem to be controlling it so far.
Scrabble tomorrow unless it's too rainy to drive. Unlikely to be that bad unless a tree falls on the freeway.
More chicken and veggies tonight. Comfort food on a rainy day.
Yeah about time they build a new Wegovy factory.

Not sure why I have been so remiss in posting lately....
We had some wild weather yesterday. 4 of our 6 elementary schools still had no power to start the day today. Schools were open, though. It was a teensy weensy bit amusing for two of us seasoned OLD teachers observing the stress of the younger teachers at the loss of their classroom tech. Even though my entire curriculum in online and digital, I had no trouble teaching my lessons the old fashioned way... I just wrote the music on the board and rehearsed the kids the way I would have 30 years ago when I had a school chorus. The kids seemed to enjoy the "old fashioned" learning. LOL!
The scale was kind this morning. I think it's funny that I've become a person who loses weight over the weekends away from the stress of school. I always thought it was the norm to lose during the week and gain on the weekends.... I've never been average I guess.
Sugar weaning has gone well. I feel after a week of resetting my sugar the cravings are at bay and when a craving does poke through, it's pretty mild. That's a win in my book.
So, Blitz got an invitation to the Westminster Kennel Club show in May. I entered him. Now, I'll see if I am able to make arrangements (hotel, flight, car....). Hotels are already booked out for most of the weekend.
Not much else....
