Yes, there is no place like home. And yesterday was a perfect weather day: Sunny, warm, with a slight breeze. Justice is happy to be home too.

A lot of back and forth with DD yesterday on beginning wedding planning. She had lunch with her Matron of Honor who was just married 2 years ago to talk about what to do, analyze the pros and cons of the wedding venues we are visiting next weekend, and develop questions for them. I had previously found a 9 month wedding planning spreadsheet of tasks so I started updating it and adding people responsible. We are on the same wavelength so I don't think a wedding planner is necessary, but we may change our minds.

This afternoon we have a meet and greet ****tail party with everyone in our building who are available (we have 11 units). Should be enjoyable. We offered to host the next one in early March.

Not much else on the agenda - thinking about weddings and weight (and the time period when I will a couch potato after the shoulder surgery), makes me think I should get on a better eating track now before I become so inactive. Why is JFDI so difficult?

Have a safe Sunday!

Both you and your daughter are fortunate to have the kind of relationship that planning together will be fun. She does have a wedding planner, it's you!

Liz, DH is using WW diet to help him while using Wegovy. They've updated it again, and when he showed it to me, I really liked it. He's done WW before, and says he finds this plan and the app to be user friendly. Would something like that be helpful? Also, after you have surgery, you probably won't gain weight, even if you can't do your normal exercise. Your metabolism will probably speed up to help with healing, and your appetite will probably be less from the meds etc.

The sun came out for a bit yesterday, and even from inside the house it felt great.

Today the scale moved down a bit. Around the 17th I'll have to pull out some of my warm weather clothes that are in "that bin" the one where you put things you still like, but are too tight. I've also done some retail therapy. When summer dresses were showing up on New York & Companies website for $5 , I couldn't resist. I have a lot of little frocks I can use as beach cover ups. I own a lot of beach cover ups for a person who lives in the tundra.

I think your high volume of beach cover-ups is a hint that you would prefer to live in a warmer location ;)

Well, I jus****ched Saltburn. I have no words!

Kirby has been brushed - got 3 brushfuls of fur out of him. Sheddy boy!

Self-fulfilling prophecy, it's been a carb fest with my dad gone. Bleh.

Off to walk the dog. He needs it!

I saw it in the movie theater. It was interesting to hear the ewws and nervous laughter. And then silence when the credits started rolling. What a freakadoodle movie. No words is right!

I heard someone describe it as a freakier Talented Mr. Ripley. They were right in a lot of ways!

I think I will skip Saltburn - I don't need Freakadoodle movies these days! Dog hair is a pain - I guess that is part of the reason there are so many doodles these days.

Greetings all

Glad someone is having good weather! All of CA is in a storm warning. It rained steadily last night and earlier today but it has paused. We head for a birthday party in about 45 minutes so I hope it holds. Not fun parking on a gravel driveway in the rain. I have made a batch of cheese crisps to take along. Of course, I tasted some for quality control.

DH is doing well so far. I wish we knew if the meds are a long term solution or is something else will need to be done.

I made chicken and veggies last night with a little pasta. More of a stew. Tastes good and is comfort food.

Liz so nice your building has events so people can know each other. Yay you for agreeing to host. And yay for tech version of wedding planning. The time table is important and some stuff needs a lot of lead time. You are right to build in couch potato time. Block it out now!

Saltburn CC. We have not seen it yet. Might be too weird for me. I have yet to watch that Everywhere movie.

Grammys tonight. We will be like other boomers and go "who is that" and more "who is that"?

So the Big Bear eagles have now made the national news. Everyone is watching. There is snow on the nest. Its irresistible.

I liked Everything, Everywhere all at Once. It does require some concentration, and it is weird, but there are redemptive arches for some of the characters.

Does he have a pacemaker? The few people I know with aFib have one. My friend here likes the side benefit of not having to wear the magnet name tags at our women's group meetings! (I hate name tags too!)
