My mother would have been 100 today. Strange to think that the entire generation before us are all gone.

We made it to Las Vegas yesterday around 3 after taking a last hike in Sedona. It was hard to leave that beauty. Last night we went out to dinner with our friends at Gordon Ramsay Burger. I ate less than half of it but it was great. We are renting in a timeshare place so we have a full kitchen. That meant I could bring my leftover home and can reheat it for lunch! That will avoid one overpriced meal.

Tonight we are going to see U2 in the Sphere. Should be interesting. It was intriguing to see it from the outside at night (we are staying right next to it). I don't know where we will go for our high-priced dinner.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A 3 timer for Kirby last night. He's had worse! This morning he got his follow up worming pills. Fingers crossed he doesn't react like last time. Kirby's poop issues have been one day off, one day on. And always better early, then devolving overnight. I was googling it and saw many say starting out good and turning bad can be a sign of overfeeding. This did all start when I bumped up from 1.5 cups a day to 3 when he crossed the 4 month mark as directed in his food's feeding instructions. Maybe that's too much with his training treats, treat treats, and "be quiet while we're eating Kong"? He's not overweight, but maybe it's too much for his little system. Today I'm going to cut him back to 2.25 cups (3/4 per meal) and see if that helps.

We're going out to dinner tonight at an Italian place with friends from Michigan. I still don't have any word on my medication! Crazy. I guess there's a run on it...

DianeS, do check out the savings card for Eliquis. It can be used with Medicare Part D and brings it to $10 a month. Similar to what I use for Xarelto.

Last night when I was pottying Kirby, I could hear something walking over the rocks and snorting on the other side of the wall. I went back in to get a flashlight and saw it was a squadron of javelina! (Love their collective noun) I took a video, but it was hard to see even though they were right under me drinking from puddles.

I think that's all from AZ. Balloons were out this morning!

Greetings all

It's been raining steadily all day and is supposed to keep it up for several days. Fine with me to stay home for now. The house is getting cleaned and the garage door repairman came awhile ago. Door has been acting up. Fortunately DH felt well enough to go out and deal with the door guy. He so loves it when repair people come. The door will need some kind of brace which will happen tomorrow. Then they had a conversation about DH electric grass trimmer which the garage man admired. These guys and their tools. Primary care doctor office called to follow up with DH. He goes in next week.

Thank you CC for the Eloquis link. I have forwarded it to DH. We can pay the price but I so feel for people who cannot pay numbers like that. The other two things he has are cheap. Eloquis was supposed to go off patent this year but has been extended I think.

I think I will make ricotta cheese bake tonight. It's a treat for DH and soft. A good protein option. Dental issue still out there and unresolved.

Liz glad you are enjoying Sedona and the sphere. I am really curious about that sphere. Our nephew composed some music for the first show there and was at the opening. It looks so cool.

Javalina!! What a hoot! CC I am assuming they are harmless if left alone. Terriers would no doubt regard them as major invaders.

Sorry Kirby is still having gut issues. Hope the new pills help.

Ocean Diane give us a shout. So glad you are on the mend.

Not much else. Poppy is recovering well from spaying and is elated to see our housekeeper.

I am thinking of making an appointment with the chiropractor. I just have so many back aches that I need to do something. My previous chiro moved away so will have to see a new one. Have references.

Good to hear that DH is feeling better and PCP is following up.

Definitely harmless unless you try to get close (like idiot tourists who try to hand them food) or get between them and their babies. Then they charge and bite. some of their squadrons here number in the 20s! I imagine terriers and javelina wouldn't make good friends!

P.S. The other local big news is that the Leonardo DiCaprio movie is shooting all over the place. By a grocery, on a pedestrian bridge near the university, north town etc. Streets closed and audible movie gunfire and police chases. They let people come watch as long as they stay quiet and out of the way. Some small businesses had to close for the day but food was ordered from the local businesses. Leo is seen wearing really scuzzy clothes and an old bathrobe so he appears to be some down on luck character. Our small towns are mesmerized. Me too.

What a day! Our school was very locked down today. If students absolutely needed the restroom, we had to call the front desk, and they would send staff to escort them. No one allowed in the halls outside of passing time. Much complaining, they needed a drink, they were so dry, why couldn't they go etc.

And I'm feeling like an idiot, we were supposed to go to a show tomorrow with some friends, and I forgot to buy tickets! Now it's sold out. I hate letting our friends down, because they do have tickets. The box office told me to show up tomorrow, as they might have some that people returned for buy backs. Argh.

And then I fell off my boot while I was taking one off, I fell off the leg I was still standing on, twisted my ankle and crashed into the wall. The good news is I didn't fall all the way down.

In other good news, it is 52 degrees right now!!! On the last day of January. I hear kids outside playing basketball. The sun finally came out yesterday, and it is glorious.

Yikes that's a very tough day DD. Why was there a lock down? Take care of that ankle. Be safe. DS
